I knew something was wrong when people in the pub were looking at their phones and shaking their heads at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The mood didn't improve much after that to be honest, even at two nil. The spark just wasn't there today and I can't help but think that it would have been with the correct starting eleven.

We must look at today in perspective and look at the bigger picture. If, and that’s an if we go down, we become a parachute club with a very good chance of coming up at the first time of asking in a much stronger position - that’s still progress after two decades plus of shite. Some will quite rightly say that the big Greek won’t allow that to happen and he’ll not have the patience if we’re cut adrift come the World Cup break. Well maybe so, but there’s naff all we can do about it, let’s just enjoy the bloody ride and relax a bit.

By all accounts the contract is there all ready, it just needs a sqiggly line on it. It's not like Marinakis is not backing Cooper. It's Cooper who won't sign it, for whatever reason.

According to The Athletic re: Coops' contract - apparently a contract was in the offing, but was then 'leaked' to the press and tense conversations ensued with whoever leaked it. The relationship is still said to be frosty.

No idea who said person is, you'd assume someone at the board level and I've no idea if they're responsible for any other 'leaks' of late.
