The Mood

What gives me the most joy, is that we appear to be constructing a squad that will continue to play the brand of football that Cooper loves - exciting, fast, progressive, but with a solid back line achieved through smart, high energy play rather than packing bodies behind the ball - despite the step up.
In my opinion, we're going to continue to be exciting to watch, wherever we end up finishing.

I bought mine from the club shop yesterday morning. The shirt is two sizes up from my current size. I also bought the sky blue polo shirt and that is one size up from my current size. Thing is, I've lost almost 2 1/2 stones (33 lbs) in the last 9 weeks and if (in the unlikely event) I keep losing weight at anywhere near that rate then by the end of the year they'll both be far too mahoosive on me to wear. [I'd take that hit, expensive as it might be, as I do need to shift some serious timber.]

Thomas, I've just done a quick exchange rate check. US$150 = £125. The home shirt retails at £60. If that was the only item you bought then $150 does sound a bit expensive.

I turn 80 tomorrow, the girls are coming later today to take me away for a mystery weekend and the club are in a position I could not have imagined only a very short while ago.

The mood is buoyant and I feel 21 again!!
Happy birthday for tomorrow.

You also have to factor in taxes; like me in Germany, Thomas will get clobbered for import duty into the US, I believe, which adds somewhere between 15-20% (from memory).

I did consider that and 20% would add £12 to the cost, making it £72, so unless Thomas bought a few other items then he's paid double the price of the shirt.

It was my understanding, (I may be wrong), that the home shirts were being dispatched from the 18th so would expect them to be on their way to you. I assume you've been following up your order progress with the club? Have they not provided a track & trace facility?

I hope you get a response and I hope you get them sooner rather than later.

I also hope it fits and you don't have to send it back.

Been thrilled with our business.
The fans of other teams are less than impressed with us. Why? Well, part of it is because we’re outbidding the ‘established’ clubs. Perhaps we are not acting in a gentlemanly fashion when we chase our targets. Not going to labour this, but WHU are planning a protest aimed at Lingard for choosing us over them. Is this the same West Ham who posted on here several years ago when we took some 8,000 down to their place suggested that we deserved to be in the top division. Now they don’t like us. Boo hoo.

Done great business and done it early, in time to prepare for the big season. None of the 'will they? won't they?' last minute of the window to see if we get anyone half decent. Looking forward to it starting now!

Yep, not far off having everything in place now. Considering the work that needed to be done at the start of the window, the club have done a remarkable job. Really pleased with the business the club have done so far, nothing is guaranteed but we are certainly giving it a proper go. With a breakthrough on the stadium redevelopment being made recently as well, I'd say its pretty f***ing good being a Forest fan at the moment!

Definitely. Isn’t it amazing that for a couple of hours the real world drifts away, and after 22 men chase a bag of air around and your team gets that bag over the goal line more than the opposition, the sun shines brighter, the birds sing louder, the grass is yellower and the smell of next door’s barbecue is more appetising.

Unfortunately the real world comes screaming back all too soon, and you’re planning to take a parent to hospital for probably bad news. But because of a group of men in Garibaldi Red, your mood can be lifted sky high for a while.

I just wish people will take it for what he is.

I will be honest and say the moaning this last week has been pathetic in my opinion.

People have wanted us to the PL for decades, now we are finally there everyone moans.

Hopefully it comes down to anxiety of unknowns, and today has proven that we will compete and people can enjoy it more.
