Today was a breath of fresh air and thoroughly enjoyable. A far cry from the shit Dr Who-ton served up.

I'm enjoying calling out Chris f***ing Hughton out after every win now. It's cathartic.

Well he's basically the same as Joe Kinnear now who kept us up but was taking us down the following season at least we acted much quicker this time

Not being funny mate but whilst I agree he was a terrible manager for us, he's gone now and I don't think resurrecting this thread purely to stick the knife in is a particularly gracious thing to do on your part

Who cares, don’t think his mates in the media should’ve stuck their fingers into a situation where they don’t know a thing but they did anyway. And also critiquing our own players when they now all look like the part.

Tweet has been deleted. What did it say?

It was two radar charts comparing our attacking stats under Cooper and under Hughton. Hughtons chart was a tiny tiny circle in the middle (if you're not familiar with radar charts it basically meant we didn't do it).

Anyway, now catharsis: absolutely f***ing wank. Sorry if not gracious, my contempt for him runs very deep.

This guy's main contribution to the club was to be so bad that his sacking has given everyone a huge lift.

A noble sacrifice.

Whats playing out is a damining indictment on the Hughton tenure. Thats indisputable. He bought a system here the players just didnt buy into, that doesnt make him a shit manager, he's proven that with success elsewhere.

Buck stops with him, but it is laughable from some that a supposed deep dislike for Hughton is a blatant points scoring wind up.

We talk far too much about ex managers on here.

I walked out after an hour Vs Middleborough and planned not to return until he was removed from position.

It was not a 'supposed' deep dislike nor is it point scoring. His Forest side was completely unwatchable and it was destroying my love for the club. I suspect I am not alone.

You certainly are not.

Hughton made watching Forest an unenjoyable chore. God knows it was excruciating remotely, let alone in person.

Anyway, there’s a possibility Steve Cooper has ended Hughton‘s Club management career, at this point.

100%

What kept me coming back was knowing the quality & talent we had compared to the other non-parachute payment teams.

A lot of credit goes to Murphy too. It would have been a tough bastard not to give Hughton a chance this season but also just changing him for anybody may not have helped.

It also feels impressive and unique as we normally don't look to pay money for any coach/manager but he knows the importance of what a good one can do in creating a team greater than the sum of their parts which is what non-parachute payment teams who mix it at the top need.

Fair enough. I'm the same with Megson.

Yes, agreed.

Megson is the special case for the old conundrum:

„You are locked in a room with Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot and Gary Megson. You have a gun, with two bullets left.“

„Who do you shoot?“

The answer of course is Megson, twice, just to be safe.
