No, we’d need to be 10 / 11 points clear of any other team (not facing ffp sanction)
No, we'll have had any punishment by the time we finish. So if we finish above anyone, we've done so deduction in place.

If we appeal, and were successful, we would only finish higher.

The only outside odds event is that both Forest and Everton appeal the current PSR, and only Everton's appeal was successful.

Well, obviously once any FFP sanction is known then if we finish 17th we’re fine. I’m referring to points needed without knowing outcome of FFP sanction. Maybe should have worded my post clearer but im trying to understand what the minimum target is.

What is the minimum points in your example?

There was a BBC pundit on Radio 5 Live this week (Ian Dennis I think) who reckoned that Everton might get a couple of points back and we were likely to face a deduction, so for that reason I'm nervous.
But if we can show good form for the next few months, I think we can make things look much more positive for the run in.

Surely the couple of points back would be for previous infringement? I’d be gutted if they got off more lightly than us for 2nd offence!

If we finish above Everton and ten points above Burnley and Blunts, we should be fine, right?

99%. Can't image us getting an 11+ point deduction.

Although Everton might win their legal challenge post-season...

As a starter, assume all clubs above Sheff Utd and Burnley are good for another 15pts.

He might have meant that, but he did suggest that we were far more at risk than Everton. Perhaps he was just factoring in that they could have more in them for the fight, I'm not sure.

We do need to start winning ASAP but I think Palace are also in massive trouble.

Maybe just kidding myself, but I think we'll get a fine and not docked points. Going to be a fight to the death when it feels like it should never have been this season.

We're comfortably the third-worst team in the league. I'm not sure where other's confidence comes from that we will have an upturn in form this month.

We've weakened the starting XI in January, added an unknown quantity in goal, and not to write him off but Sangare is average, to replace Mangala who is average+.

Everton will get some points back from their first deduction which will see them go back above us, and then we'll both get a similar punishment for this round of FFP breaches, which will see us stay below them. Everton will be fine, and we'll need to finish above Luton by whatever our points deduction is, and I can't even see us doing that without a points penalty.

Mismanagement into FFP breaches has killed us, and now Luton's form and their superior goal difference will likely see us down.
