Lolley has always tweeted about politics.

Let him crack on.

So because he's a footballer he isn't allowed an opinion?

Sorry I'll rephrase

So because he's a footballer he isn't allowed to voice his opinion?
Of course he is but in my opinion i think it not wise for him, simple as that. I am tired of the news being saturated 24/7 with politics and now the virus, very depressing so when I read about Forest I just do not want to hear politics, my choice.

Re: Joe Lolley deserves a good ball-cupping

So Joe Lolley on Twitter has just said he thinks “Trump in unhinged and a vile human” OK, along with millions of other people. Joe would be wise to keep his politics to himself as this was a divisive comment and although he has every right to have an opinion, the last thing I want to hear is the politics being spouted by footballers.
Millions of people enjoy the escape that football brings from everyday life, it brings together people of all ages and backgrounds and if politics become part of football commentary it will damage the sport.
Joe, we know you are bored sitting at home in this current situation but put some clothes on and spend less time on Twitter and do something more productive like getting your head straight and keeping fit ready for our promotion drive.
Thank you Joao Carvalho for your positive home videos training at home with your faithful friend.
Don't follow him.

Re: Joe Lolley deserves a good ball-cupping

The very last folks on this planet I'd take any notice of are footballers. As soon as they come on a screen whether tv or media, I switch it off or over.

Amongst the thickest in humanity.

footballers aren't just here for our enjoyment. They're people first footballers second.

He's got the freedom to do whatever he wants as long as it's within the law. Why do you even care? Why would anyone care?

Re: Joe Lolley deserves a good ball-cupping

I dont follow US politics but you dont have to to realise that Trump is a bit of a tool.

I'd rather a Forest player point that out than say get a text off a mate to go to a party on lockdown, then drive into parked cars whilst allegedly drunk and then lie about it... having two days before praised the NHS and told people to stay in doors on social media.

Two wrongs dont make a right but then again Joe ain't wrong here

You don't have to follow him on Twitter.

It doesn't change his role as a footballer for the club one bit.

Re: Joe Lolley deserves a good ball-cupping

It would be interesting to see the reaction if a footballer came out in support of that buffoon. I have no problem either way but Joe won't get any stick because we all agree with him. Well, 99.9% I'd have thought.

I don’t give a toss for any footballers opinion on anything so I don’t go on Twitter

He's right.

Trump is a dangerous leader. The more people shrug their shoulders at his lack of care, the worst the outcome of the situation.

Fair play for Joseph to be vocal about it. It'd be easier for him not to.

Re: Joe Lolley deserves a good ball-cupping

Pointing out that Trump is vile (the guy who spuriously dodged the draft, committed treason, and has a long long list of sexual abuse allegations including scores of rapes,) isn't divisive.

A nations leader publicly blaming Covid-19 on 'The Chinese' whilst your East Asian looking citizens get beaten up by violent thickos, now that is divisive.

Re: Joe Lolley deserves a good ball-cupping

I have never had anything to do with politics in my life never voted and simply not intrested but I have joe on Twitter and he seems a really nice guy if he wants to post about politics it's his choice as much as it's mine in having no intrest in it and I actually don't think he posts that much about it
