The Joe Lolley Retirement

Several terrible crosses late on. He wasn't alone. We contrived to lose that one just as we contrived to lose against Birmingham.

With Grabban not on the pitch teams just have to stop Lolley from shooting, and Sarr did that really well for Charlton. Forest could have played until midnight and not scored.

He was the best of a bad bunch tonight, tried to make something happen every time he had the ball.
Not perfect like, but he acquitted himself well.

Lolley looked far more comfortable as soon as Cash came on. Something we need to take full advantage of.

Looked like a competition winner, but was actually the best player on the pitch. Served up one sweet cross better than anything we delivered all night & proceeded to block everything we tried.

So Lolley has said at the start of the season he was playing with a broken toe and on painkillers to get through games, kind of explains his "poor form". Also shows fans don't know anything that's going off behind closed doors and should maybe trust the management team.

Excellent video interview on sky sports website.

I am 100% confident Lolley reads this forum, so if you see this mate - keep up the hard work, it never goes unnoticed and your passion, enthusiasm and honesty is so refreshing in the age of media trainee footballers trying not to upset fans. Hope you play for Forest for the rest of your career.

Here here.
Great pro with a great attitude.
His influence is as big as anyone on the pitch and hopefully hes just getting back to his best for the run in.

I, of course, could not possibly comment on who may, or may not, be a member of this august assembly.

Nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more...!

Please tell me that MagicForest88 is actually Joe Lolley on a wind up. That’d be M Night Shyamalan levels of plot twist.

Mentioned that back in September and then December and January  But some just moan about goals and assists.

Says it all about him as a person. We love you Joe.

Fair play to the lad if he’s been playing through an injury, definitely came back into form recently

:)

It is really bizarre. He goes from looking like he could walk right off the field to going on a maizey run.

100th game for us today by the way.

not at his best today but even when things aren't going for him he doesn't hide. Sometimes he's worth his place for sheer work rate.

Nice to see people behind him again. He had a slower start to the season, yet was still our biggest all around contributor.

If I had one criticism it's I wish he'd stop dropping into the defence to pick the ball up when it's tough to break the opposition down. You do your damage in the final 3rd Joe, find some space there and make your mark!

At his best last night. Going past people, taking the ball off people and he could easily have had two assists in the opening 20-25 last night for Grabban and Ameobi to score.

Re: Joe Lolley deserves a good ball-cupping

So Joe Lolley on Twitter has just said he thinks “Trump in unhinged and a vile human” OK, along with millions of other people. Joe would be wise to keep his politics to himself as this was a divisive comment and although he has every right to have an opinion, the last thing I want to hear is the politics being spouted by footballers.
Millions of people enjoy the escape that football brings from everyday life, it brings together people of all ages and backgrounds and if politics become part of football commentary it will damage the sport.
Joe, we know you are bored sitting at home in this current situation but put some clothes on and spend less time on Twitter and do something more productive like getting your head straight and keeping fit ready for our promotion drive.
Thank you Joao Carvalho for your positive home videos training at home with your faithful friend.
