Yeah that was our best effort recently against them. We should have at least had a point. We should've had them in August. I don't think that was so much them turning up as us giving them too much respect.

My understanding is its more of a leverage move from the Glazer family. Ratcliffe will eventually seal the deal, but, by moving the 'footballing side' of the business to INEOS/Trawlers Ltd, they allow investment in the team without impacting their outlay, knowing the value of the business will increase should the team be successful. There must be a clause in there about a set buy-out amount because otherwise this is a very weird deal to my mind.
Assuming Radcliffe comes in and makes some positive changes then the overall value of Utd goes up which means a buy out of the remaining shares, or for overall control of club, goes up as well so the the Glazer's could have sold off off 25% and still make more than the current value of the club thanks to the efforts of Radcliffe?!?
My understanding is the Glazer's didn't want to sell, Ratcliffe wants to run a football club - so Ratcliffe has basically paid a billion quid to play football manager. It is an awful deal from absolutely everybodies perspective apart from the Glazers who will continue using it as an ATM machine and now they no longer also have culpability of running the club.My understanding is its more of a leverage move from the Glazer family. That last bit is definitely the most true. There will be minimal investment in the important areas for the forseeable future. My understanding is the Glazer's didn't want to sell, Ratcliffe wants to run a football club - so Ratcliffe has basically paid a billion quid to play football manager. I don't think there is any intention of selling anymore of the club from the Glazers. It will just turn into a long term power struggle where nothing ever gets done unless somebody vastly overpays for the entire club & now Ratcliffe is in that's basically impossible. There is practically zero chance of infastructure investment now either as neither side will want to put up the money.
That’s how I feel - can’t bloody stand them and their customers since we’ve come back up! Hope we stuff them!If there’s one team I want us to beat this year it’s this lot. Thought we had em in August but they got let off the hook by some dodgy decisions yet again.
Doing a fantastic job, you have to say.I'm too lazy to look up who they have in the FA Cup but that is now all they have to play for. Long live Ten Hag and McClaren!
Well it has..didn't the BBC claim after the Villa game Man Utd were back and this was the start of a new brilliant era ..I guess an era can be a decades, years, months, weeks alright days then.Let's hope the demise continues Saturday evening
I concur with and endorse this viewpoint!Well I for one think the Glazers and Erik ten Hag are f***ing brilliant. Long may they reign.
I can die a happy man, thanks NunoIf there’s one team I want us to beat this year it’s this lot. Thought we had em in August but they got let off the hook by some dodgy decisions yet again.
What what what? Forest were playing last night? I haven't seen a single mention in the media of this. It's the worst Man Utd team in history. End of story. Clifton All Whites under 13s would have put 7 past them.Yes, happy to contribute to the glorious demise!
They lack a spine, much like most of their team.Out of the two Manchester clubs, I’ve always preferred United.
Back in 58’ Wednesday were the first club to play against them after the Munich air disaster.
United won what was an FA Cup match and Wednesday gained a lot of respect for the way in which they practically allowed them to win the game. For us it was simply a match that we couldn’t win.
That was a different age, and fast forwarding to the current day it’s the worst United team I’ve seen in my lifetime.
At least the early Fergie teams had players like Bryan Robson who fought for the shirt and showed a bit of fight when things were tough.
The current shower are a disgrace. No fight, no bottle and just a bunch of whinging idiots with a manager who can’t lead them.
