My understanding is its more of a leverage move from the Glazer family. Ratcliffe will eventually seal the deal, but, by moving the 'footballing side' of the business to INEOS/Trawlers Ltd, they allow investment in the team without impacting their outlay, knowing the value of the business will increase should the team be successful.

My understanding is the Glazer's didn't want to sell, Ratcliffe wants to run a football club - so Ratcliffe has basically paid a billion quid to play football manager. It is an awful deal from absolutely everybodies perspective apart from the Glazers who will continue using it as an ATM machine and now they no longer also have culpability of running the club.
I don't think there is any intention of selling anymore of the club from the Glazers. It will just turn into a long term power struggle where nothing ever gets done unless somebody vastly overpays for the entire club & now Ratcliffe is in that's basically impossible. There is practically zero chance of infastructure investment now either as neither side will want to put up the money.

Out of the two Manchester clubs, I’ve always preferred United.
Back in 58’ Wednesday were the first club to play against them after the Munich air disaster.
United won what was an FA Cup match and Wednesday gained a lot of respect for the way in which they practically allowed them to win the game. For us it was simply a match that we couldn’t win.
That was a different age, and fast forwarding to the current day it’s the worst United team I’ve seen in my lifetime.
At least the early Fergie teams had players like Bryan Robson who fought for the shirt and showed a bit of fight when things were tough.
The current shower are a disgrace. No fight, no bottle and just a bunch of whinging idiots with a manager who can’t lead them.
