The glorious demise of Manchester United

Just bumping this thread in response to them being booted out of Europe, having been thrashed by Bournemouth last weekend, and with a weekend visit to Liverpool where they lost 7-0 last season.

Long may this continue and long may the Glazers sponge a living out of it.

Bayern fans singing "You're shit, and you know you are" in perfect English is particularly amusing.

Half their players are a lazy bunch of wankers it has to be said.
A lazy bunch of wankers would be an improvement.

I was speaking to a colleague this morning - a Bayern fan (spit) - and he remarked how poor he found Utd, he was expecting a sterner test from them, given what was at stake, and that Bayern had of course already won the group, so the game was a dead-rubber to them.

The recruitment at Utd has been woeful though. They’ve let ten Hag blow tens of millions on wasters who don’t look up to it.

Which is hilarious.

He's slowly alienating some of their better players too.
Well, he started that by binning-off Ronaldo of course, who would still walk into that side they put out last night and make it better, and then he’s alienated Jadon Sancho (another player I like, having seen a fair bit of him over here, he looks like he’s completely lost his way) and his insistence on playing mix-and-match teams shows they haven’t developed even an identity of how they want to play, it’s just an absolute mess.

Funny as f***, though.

In ten hag's defence, Ronaldo needed binning off as he was the most poisonous toxic shit this side of the southern hemisphere. Bigger than the club, bigger than the manager, and that's just the size of the chip on his shoulder, he HAD to be removed (from a united POV that is - externally it was hilarious)

He absolutely didn't HAVE to be removed. Ronaldo managed just fine under the 2 managers they had the season before. Ten Hag came in and picked a fight with him as a power play. He was 3rd top scorer in the Prem FFS behind Salah & Son!

Ten Hag won that battle because Ronaldo didn't wanna stick around & stink the place out so did everything he could for them to rip up his contract which they did in the end. Ten Haag has since done the same to several other players not as high profile as him.

He has fell out with 1 manager in his entire career & had one bad season in his entire career, can you guess who was the manager?

I present to you Mason Mount. To get 55 million for this fella was genius from Chelsea.

stitched up perfectly lol

I have zero clue how they are so high in the table to begin with, every win they seem to get they are incredibly lucky
They really have rode their luck. I think sometimes they literally get over the line in games because they still get decisions other teams don’t or simply because they do still have players paid £200k + per week. Sometimes a bit of extra quality masks other issues.

Also I do think some teams actually cheat. Palace last season for example. They lost about 30 games on the trot and never dropped below 12th. Then when they did they won 4 on the bounce or something. 🤣

Whilst I wish all the ills of the world on Man Utd, we need Sancho and Mount to be playing and firing.

Euro 2024 will soon be on us.

Have Man United actually improved a single player they have signed since Fergie left?
They’ve improved several players‘ bank-balances, but I suspect that’s about it.

And in recent matches, The Mekon has had to depend on McTominay and Maguire, two players he was trying to bin-off in the summer.

Maguire winning Player of the Month was rather funny.

Apparently United have now increased there asking price for Sancho, a player they've made perfectly clear has no future at the club, to 51 million. Good luck with that one!
