The Demise of Birmingham City

Loads of the fans seem to think they'll be able to get Steve Cooper. Surely zero chance of that happening!!

If Cooperman didn't get on with Marinakis, how is he going to get on with Brum's mental owners??

I do hope that this isn't the last we've seen of Wayne.

Taking Birmingham into freefall is well up there, with picking a fat slapper up in a wine bar, only to get done for drink driving and also being caught drunk in a hotel room with two other semi-naked slappers guffing on you.

He brings the humanity back into football, and who could say no to that?

"I would like to thank the owners for the opportunity to manage Birmingham City and the support they all gave me during my short period with the club, however, time is the most precious commodity a manager requires and I do not believe 13 weeks was sufficient to oversee the changes that were needed.”

Haha, what a wassock.

Fixed that for you.

They deserve everything they get if this is the level of their fans.
From BBC sport.

"Such a disappointing end to Rooney's reign at the Blues. All he needed was time and money. He got neither and now one of the finest young coaches in the country is jobless."

You do wonder if the American owner has just figured out that this ain't the NFL or MLS. We have a thing called promotion and relegation.

I agree with the managerial comment-good players don’t necessarily become good managers.
Bobby Charlton is perhaps the best example I can think of.
And looking at it from the other direction I give you Steve Cooper, a self-confessed crap player.

He's the overwhelming favorite at the minute. The Birmingham owners will need a manager that gets everyone on side after this shit show.

I wouldn't be surprised if he goes there, they do seem to want to spend money.

I’ll add Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger to that list.

The thing about Rooney is it was so obvious he would be a shit manager just hearing him speak once.

Harsh but some things are non-negotiable in a leadership position, and having the ability to string a sentence together is one of them. How can you get your point across or even motivate people if you sound like a 13 year old having a sulk. You can have the mind of Pep Guardiola but if you communicate like Rooney does you have got no chance.

I remember when he announced Tom Lawrence was Derby captain, one of the most embarrassing videos I have seen - and that was one of the motivational moments the clubs media team chose to put out.
