The Demise of Birmingham City

The problem SC has is the teams under pressure at the bottom of the Prem will probably want experienced heads to keep them up and the decent championship options are more than likely doing ok!!

Good little article on this debacle...

He didn't get the position on merit but because he's a name in world football, with a major following on social media - 63million across all platforms, apparently.

When social media commands such power that it can get you a job at a perfectly well-functioning football club - as Birmingham was when Wayne was hired - there will obviously be a lowering of standards. When X and Instagram are deemed a measure of your ability, then I'm afraid it's a race to the bottom.

Mowbray is a sensible appointment but it's quite funny seeing the new owners obviously realise at last that having someone who's at least competent at managing is better than getting a big name. Well done lads, you're learning.

Confirmed it's Mowbray.

No surprise it isn't Cooper.

I blame the players.
Rooney was a great player and therefore has to be a great manager.
Strongly tipped to be the next manager of Jim Radcliffe’s Man Ure

Was I the first person to use "Jim Radcliffe's Man Ure"?
Because at 25% it isn't.
It is still the Glaser's Man Ure.
At the end of the day (or financial year), the Glazers will still be taking their dividend, while Jim Radcliffe (or his poorly paid lackeys) will be doing all of the work. But I would happily write Mr Rooney a reference, should he choose to apply for a management position at Man Ure.

Back to Birmynum, it's a shame they have appointed Mowbray, he is a decent bloke who knows the league, and is likely to considerably reduce any interest I have in the club.

Apparently Rooney reckons that the Birmingham fans didn't accept him from day one.

"John Eustace had done a good job, to be fair to him, but they made the change and asked me to go in. I went in, but I knew straight away that I wasn't accepted by the fans. I think it was more because John Eustace had done well. They were in sixth place when he got sacked."

Yeah, and look what you did to try and bring the fans over to accepting you, won 2 of 15 and lost 9.

He's got to try and hang on to his idea that he can manage a football club somehow. Nothing to do with how shit you are Wayne, of course it was the fans fault.

I doubt Wayne could manage a wank, let alone a football club.
