In Italian, Bianconeri means 'Black and White'.

In Italian, Biancone means 'Short Toed'.

Not that any of that is relevant because Giulian is French.

He's from the South of France near the Italian border though, near Cannes/Nice (Lovely part of the world). It wouldn't surprise me if he had Italian ancestry.

In 28 games I can’t really remember anything noteworthy that he’s done

I can’t say he’s sh*te, just utterly dull

But then I am told he’s brilliant at invisible, magical, imaginary stuff that my small football fan brain cannot comprehend and goes unnoticed to the average supporter

Wether it’s he doesn’t suit us or we don’t suit him I’m struggling to remember a more underwhelming (“meh” for the young-uns) footballer with the pedigree he came with

If Gibbs-White gets fans off their seats, Remo staple-guns the back of their legs to them

Get £10m quid pronto and put it toward the beast from PSV….

Weird thing is he got gradually worse as the season went on. Or maybe I just noticed his impotence more as I originally refused to believe a Swiss international & former Atalanta captain could be so poor.

One thing is for sure- as soon as he was removed from the team & the Yates- Mangala- Danilo trio stepped in we looked like a team capable of at least making life difficult for the opposition & passing the ball forward.

He's almost certainly not a bad player- but he's just not suited to the Premier League.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t peg him with the likes of JonJo. He works hard. I’m just not interested in the many excuses for why he has absolutely zero positive impact on our team. He’ll have zero positive impact off the bench so there’s zero point in keeping him for “squad depth”.

It hasn’t worked. It won’t work. Flog him for as much as we can get and send him on with our best wishes!

I definitely feel like while he’s one we might want to upgrade, we she should only be letting him go if we have someone else coming in.

Get rid. Has never looked right or offered anything for us.

Will we even notice when he's gone?
Doubtful.

I don't think he's shit, he's obviously got good pedigree but he's just not suited to the way Cooper sets us up.

I'd be interested to know the thinking behind this signing. Either Cooper originally wanted to come up and play differently or the club completely underestimated the physical demands of the Premier League.

It wouldn't surprise me if they just saw that an international and captain of a champions league team was available and got him in regardless.

I suspect there was a plan to have a CM with good vision and commensurate passing range, hence the conductor. When it didn't work out, Shelvey came in.

To be fair, I don't think Cooper himself predicted how we'd play most of last season - they said several times they were playing just to stay up by whatever means possible. We were all excited by his signing, I wish we'd have seen him in a similar role to his Swiss one but there just wasn't space I guess.

Imho, he'd be decent in any PL team that dominates possession, but we were too under the pump last season so see any benefits. As I've mentioned before, he acknowledged the difficulties in adjusting to the pace of the Premier; I imagine that's compounded when you're doing the majority of your work within 30 yards of your own goal.

I think he's a really smart player. If he leaves, I wish him the best.
