Remo Marco Freuler + Trains thread

I doubt we'll get our money back but even 75% of it would be worthwhile.
He's had zero impact on our team since signing.

I wanted to give him some slack but his performance today against a L2 2nd XI was atrocious. Slow, indecisive, gave the ball away (which as a low lying cdm is criminal) and just had little impact.

I'd have hoped he would have taken the match today by the scruff of the neck and stood out.

f*** him off, I don’t believe that Allegri is that finished that he wants Freuler strolling about his midfield at a snails pace though.

Good player just doesn't suit the English game it's just to fast for him he wants more time on the ball which he would get in Italy but in England you got a player snapping at your legs soon as you get the ball and that's why he has to play sideways and backwards passes the easy option
Bang on. You can see he has something and a great footballing brain but The Conductor needs a lot more space to conduct than he's ever going the get in the Prem. Can't fault his effort and commitment. His distance running stats in a match were always top of the charts. Just a bit of a square peg in a round hole here.

Indeed. Would probably have been worth giving him some time to see if he could adapt his game if he were younger, but his game is pretty well set now, so he's better going somewhere it'll work.

Happy with loan to buy obligation as long as there’s a decent up front loan fee and they cover his wages

Agreed. He had a good run of starts so had an opportunity to adapt but never did enough for me. Thank you and move on. Just getting him off the wage bill for the rest of his contract will save £5m+.

Does he need a lift to the airport?

Looked alright for a while but it was telling that we looked loads better when he came out the side.

Also watching him, Shelvey and Colback try and play together in an actual Premier League game was one of the most painful things I've seen on a pitch in years.
