With Shelvey seemingly done for and question marks over both LOB and Kouyate then it almost certainly means we'll be in the market for a central midfielder if Freuler does go.

I'll be shocked if at least one new midfielder doesn't come in. Wouldn't surprise me if all our current central midfielders beyond the main three (Yates, Danilo, Mangala) go and a couple of new faces come in.

There will be takers in Europe I'm sure. I think he'll be relatively easy to shift.

I just don't think he's suited to the Premier League.

I think if we want to progress and move to how Cooper wants us to play, we'll need a different kind of player to Freuler as well.

I don't think he's awful, but its hard to see how he fits in going forwards.

Spot on. Class player who hasn't been utilised correctly. If Awonyi had continued on the wing, he'd have been given loads of shit. I say keep him.

I think you're right in that he probably hasn't been utilised correctly. That said, I'd not bother trying to persuade him to stay, he's not dynamic enough for what we need in order to improve.

The Italian league suits him alot better as it's a much slower pace. He is too slow for the Premier league. The difference in our midfield with Yates, Mangala and Danilo starting was night and day. We cannot afford passengers like Freuler. Back to Serie A please, no harm done.
