Pre-season 2021/22

Derby 2 down now

They have charged their fans £5 to watch it on Derby TV when it's free on the Salford YouTube channel as well.
Surprised Salford aren't paying their own fans to watch the game, offering compensation for having to endure Derby's football.

I'm guessing the Burnley game isn't available anywhere to stream on Saturday?
I'd be happy to throw a fiver to watch it on a stream.

Sharing that Bong was clearly a bad idea then...

We've had a COVID outbreak, game against Villa is off, Burnley game in doubt.

I got covid a couple of weeks ago (from the Euro final at Wembley no doubt) and it is not pleasant at all. Knocked me off my feet completely for a week and then still wasn’t right for another week.

If some of our players are suffering from it (as opposed to symptomless) they won’t be right for the first game. They will be exhausted for at least ten days and unable to concentrate properly.

We could see some funny lineups for the first few games.

I was wondering who these youngsters were that hadn't had their jabs.. I'd sack the lot of them..

Once again: vaccination does not altogether prevent catching the virus. It reduces the possibility of getting infected, it reduces the possibility of transmitting it to others, but what it mostly does is significantly reducing the possibility of getting severely sick from it, or worse.

That's why it is essential for football clubs, while strict protocols are still in place, to somehow ensure their players -even if vaccinated- are very careful. It's the professional thing to do.

Exactly. I’d had my first jab when i caught it and my mate was double jabbed. We both felt like shit for two weeks

Hope this doesn't lead to the Burnley friendly being cancelled.
To be fair to Burnley, I couldn't see them wanting to risk it for a friendly.
Not ideal preparation for the new season at all, but it is what it is.

We've been pretty lucky so far as a club, but it's bound to affect every club this year.
