Good. As is the standard he will be required to meet.Having seen all three of those play in the flesh, I can assure you Niakhate is significantly better than the other two.

You’re being a bit selective there.Fans love signings no matter who they are. See the Karanka January for reference.
It's only a bit of perspective to the notion we should sign any old player as he'll do and "we can't lose". We can and in fact we often do when it comes to these left field transfers, only Samba has been a home run under our previous modus operandi. Hopefully this is Dane's scouting and not a left over from the scattergun that Dane's boss is pushing.
The Mancienne and Tesche reference if not obvious enough was because they played a lot of games in Germany and were highly rated.
In fact here's your quote on Mancienne...
He was garbage.
I’d also say that Tesche wasn’t shit. He was a solid enough player but just one paced and again unsuited to the league he came into. Same story with Carvalho and indeed many others. You’re being a bit selective there.
Mancienne was highly rated at Chelsea and indeed Wolves, and I saw him play at Hamburg and he certainty looked like he could do a job.
It just seemed the physicality of the English lower leagues did for him; playing in leagues where skill is more highly prized, he did not look out of place.
Robert Tesche has been an important squad player for VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga for the past three and a half seasons.I’d also say that Tesche wasn’t shit. He was a solid enough player but just one paced and again unsuited to the league he came into. Same story with Carvalho and indeed many others.
For me the moral of the story is think very carefully if you are a non English player whose never played here before you one into the championship. If it doesn’t work it’s likely to f*** your career-the high water mark for all these lads was before they came to us not after…
Most do though Raz, we've signed hundreds of duds over the years, so reality often beats high expectations. It's a f***ing miserable outlook if you are waiting for every transfer to fail. I dunno what you want us to do personally.
A straw man argument with no facts toward the debate.Feels like you are arguing for the sake of it. I don't think anybody said he will guarentee being good. That goes for every single signing. Players that a pure quality somewhere end up being crap elsewhere and vice versa.
And Mancienne was a decent signing for Championship level, I stand by that. He turned out crap but that's football.
If you are expecting every signing to work you are living in cloud cukoo land. You have to look at the basics of a transfer, the good and the bad and judge it that way. This guy has plenty of good.

Enjoy the sunshine.

A lot of irony in this:

You've had a mare here duck.Failing to see the downside of this one. Even the price is excellent.
Gerrim in!
(Just saying this for a bit of fun, not to have a go or take the mickey)Like Garibaldi states, new signings are greeted with absolute blind love, especially younger generations, and I suppose that's to be expected.
But once the hyped up loved up player,, whom many fans have only had hearsay on or youtube videos, starts to perform, fantasy often turns to reality.
Lars BohinenThere's always something more exciting about someone we've heard little or nothing of coming from abroad. I know the difference was far greater years ago, and the novelty factor even more so, but it still stands now, for some of us anyway.
Don't know how reliable this is

The highly-rated centre-back wants to move to the Premier Leaguewww.footballtransfers.com
Probably depends how he does.If we do sign him, would he be a starter or an option off the bench? From what I've seen he's really good with the ball at his feet.
For the money I am sure he will cost would be a starter deffo imo and really should be; the dude is very good in a lot of areas. If we do sign him, would he be a starter or an option off the bench? From what I've seen he's really good with the ball at his feet.
For me, he starts on the left of a back three with Worrall right side and McKenna in the middle. If we do sign him, would he be a starter or an option off the bench? From what I've seen he's really good with the ball at his feet.
