Re: James Garner

Trent Hutson, to be fair, is right about as many times a day as a broken clock and that's when he's doing well. He's just a kid who doesn't really know anything.

“About” being zero.

Re: James Garner

To be fair I am pretty sure he broke Garner's signing last time before anyone else.

He said Davis was fit too.

I dunno how good/accurate he is, but I'm clinging onto this one

That’s what I meant. I can’t see Trent Whatshisname being right twice a day.

If Nixon said the grass is green and the sky is blue, I'd have to nip outside to check. Why people hang off his every word when his track record is shite I will never know.

It's hilarious that his content is now behind a paywall and people actually pay for it. You know what they say about fools and their money...

Re: James Garner

Trent has a hit rate of about 25%, and practically everything he posts is recycled from elsewhere.

It's not that much of a jump to guess that we'd have first option on Garner if Man Utd decide they don't want him. We're in the PL, he's settled here, he will get game time. It's a no-risk move for him and Man Utd.

Re: James Garner

Finished 2-1 to England, not his best 90 minutes of football. He tends to look more comfortable in a midfield 2 as opposed to a 3 man midfield

I make that his 53rd game of the season.

He might not play a blinder every game, but he rarely has a bad one does he. Reminds me of Chris Cohen.

Re: James Garner

3 more games coming up for the U21s in the next 10 days, all on BBC.

We love him and he loves us, Jimmy will be back after watching all the Man Utd players dancing for a TikTok after they draw 1-1 to a side on their tour in Florida.

As Paul McCartney famously wrote, „Let It Be“.

Nothing would make me happier than being able to drag James‘ thread back from the wasteland that is „Ex-Players“.

(Well, apart form a Dinner-Date with Claudia Schiffer, but you get the idea).

Agreed, and if this happens his thread title needs to get the full name treatment

Actually, no, he deserves that anyway.

As Captain Picard would say, „Make it so!“

Wonder how this impacts recruitment? I'm sure that Cooper wants Graner back but I'm also sure that he wants to make his moves in the transfer market as soon as possible. Waiting for United on Garner took us a few games into the season last time out. This time those early games will be huge. Presumably we'll go out for a central midfielder anyway and hope we get Garner as well.

It massively affects loan strategy too as he'll either be one of two slots or not.

You'll need a central midfielder even if Garner returns. So I guess the new recruit, along with other current midfielders will be enough for the first few games.

Sauce salad?
Bit of news talk over the weekend that Garner's headed back to us for another loan - really hope that's the case. We were at our best when he was at his best last season imo.

Wouldn't expect him to say anything else at this point, but it will come down to what the new boss sees in him - regardless of the quality he has, there were still extended periods last year where he wasn't at his best, which to me points to a prem loan in a setup he knows well being the best option... Let's hope Ten Hag feels the same, though I worry about the new sub rule...

Man United are apparently bidding €70m for Frenkie De Jong from Barcelona.

He plays in the same position as Garner, so it may be good news for Forest if they land him?
