James David Garner

Posted decent numbers for Watford but they’ve sent him back to Man U - us and QPR allegedly keen to sign him on loan for the rest of the season

Re: James Garner

Seeing some of the regular Twitter moaners who were in meltdown over the club signing "yet another past it 30 year old" in Dan Gosling now bitching and moaning about us potentially signing this lad because "why don't we just use our own kids instead of loaning somebody else's!?"

Swear some of these people would be over the f***ing moon if we got relegated as long as the team was full of 18-21 year olds exclusively from the academy.

I'd be intetested to know HP how many of these deluded souls have actually watched any of the "kids" they're demanding to see in the first team, beyond Mighten and Swan?

Don't really know much about this lad, but he's made 20 appearances for a side currently 3rd in the Championship so I assume he must be somewhat decent (even if he is now deemed surplus to requirements at Watford).

Re: James Garner

Haven't seen him play but from what I've read he seems to be a bit of a classy operator and the Watford fans were raving about him. Initially anyway.

Medical today. Haven’t seen much of him but Nixon bugged him up in the summer when Preston were after him.

Re: James Garner

I think Man U recalled him because he as not made a start since Watford changed their manager in December, so definitely worth a punt given the position we find ourselves in

Re: James Garner

Just had a look at the Watford forum. They seem almost universal in saying he's shit. Oh dear.

I wonder whether your Watfords and Bournemouth almost have an elevated opinion of themselves when they’re back in the league to where they belong. You only have to read their forums when they’re losing, to see how deluded they are and how they expect not to be operating at the level they are.
So, it’s easy to see why, especially when they’re not 100 points clear at the top of the league (which they bloody well should be), players are labelled as shit.

Perhaps we are similar ?

Re: James Garner

Anyone who pays the slightest attention to fans comments on someone who is leaving their club is seriously deluded.
Not sure I agree with that.

Apart from Antonio, the views of the fans of the losing club have been pretty spot over the last few years when taken as a whole.

For me it's been a good gauge of what we are getting.
