I'm not saying fire him but leaving it till December in the current circumstances maybe too late,Hence when when were last in the Championship.

I'd say our problem last time we were in the Championship was more to do with the team being utterly dreadful generally than not getting shot of Kinnear soon enough.

honestly would you realy be happy for him to stay till christmass if we loose the next 2 games? or loose the next 2 draw one win one and get stuffed at pride park

That depends entirely on the manner of the hypothesis. I don't think we'll need to sack him for the record...confidence is low but it doesn't take long for it to shoot up again given a good result.

very true but has calderwood got what it takes to get the guys going and pick up that vital win? at what point do we look at maybe bring in someone to maybe help him out in a coaching role to create the honeymoon period type of effect a new manager can bring to a club? or do we part comapny and bring someone else in.

the problem is who is there that in current climate you would be happy to see in the hot seat, I am not happy with calderwoods leadership atm but tbh if we do get rid the next apointment has to planned well in advance, as they need to have him out on a saturday and new manager anounced on the monday to stop the usual clough, pearce ect calls from the fans

With Doughty's spineless record in sacking managers taken into consideration and the fact Clownderwood's record is three play-offs and two automatic promotions, I would guess that he has until the middle of next season before Doughty pulls the plug.

Something needs to change and quickly.

We're conceding far too many goals, and I don't solely blame the back four. The midfield offers little protection and despite the fun of Guy Moussi, he is a huge liability at this moment in time.

We really need to start scoring, we have the players capable of doing it but its just not going for us at the moment. They will come but first of all we need to sort ourselves out defensively.

If I was Nigel Doughty I'd be approaching Billy Davies and getting him on standby if the worst came to the worst, let's hope he dosen't come to that though!

I think Calderwood has 2 games left... I think he will have the next two games to prove himself before the board bite the bullet.

for those that think we aint in trouble and we are just suffering a bad patch readwhat I have put bellow and honestly say that doesnt worry you, cuase it scares the hell out of me.

home
Reading CCC (H) 0 - 0 draw
Swansea City CCC (A) 1 - 3 lost
Watford CCC (H) 3 - 2 win
Wolverhampton Wanderers CCC (A) 1 - 5 lost
burnleyCCC (H) 1 - 2 lost
Preston North End CCC (A) 1 - 2 lost
Charlton Athletic CCC (H) 0 - 0 draw
Plymouth Argyle CCC (A) 0 - 1 lost

from that we have lost four games on the bounce away from home, we have managed 3 goals away from home yet we have had 11 put past us, Home isnt much better we have managed 4 and had 4 put past us. we have picked up 1 point in last 4 games. In total we have scored 7 goals and let 15 past us and kept 2 clean sheets. We need to get ourselfs off the bottom spot quickly before we find ourselfs a couple wins away from safety if we once get in that position of being 5-6 points away from safety I fear we will throw in the towel

Thinking long term I do not believe he is the man to take the club forward, yes maybe we could (just maybe) stay up, but what then? We wont be shooting up the table and I fear we could be down this end scrapping for survival for a while. I'd like to see some fresh ideas at the club, and some more experienced faces to come in on loan to steady the ship for the upcoming battle. At this minute we need short term measures to ensure our short term future, remember Kinnear when he came in? Though in hindsight it was shortsighted to keep him on but a bounce from a new manager could be what we need. Bigger attendances, new faces at the club, different approaches to the game and someone who is not afraid to admit that some of the playing staff we have at the club are not up to the job. Doughty needs to be brave.

Dude.

Yes....sort off. I honestly believe the board has a timetable already drawn up, and if Calderwood passes that date without turning things around he will be gone.

Doughty wont contemplate relegation, its worth to much money to him.

I think 2 games is too soon...end of October to mid November would give Calderwood enough time to turn things around or the new manager to bring in new faces in the transfer window.

Yes I can, whether I actually agree it's right or not is another thing... Although I do feel somewhat uninspired.... and have done so ever since Calderwood has been in charge.

I don't think Calderwood should go, but if we pick up what I think we will from the next 7 then I may change my mind.

No matter what anyone thinks though, doughty doesn't sack managers ...

he should go.....

he hasn't got a clue, we aren't capable of competing away from home and we barely compete at the city ground.

DREADING the derby game, 2nd Nov is make or break for this team.

I'm dreading the Derby game too, but lets face it how much different would you have played the game today.

At this moment in time I think we are poor not because of a poor manager (I'm not saying he's brillaint, I think his tactics are very bizzare at times) but because we are just not good enough.

Sacking him before we've even played 1/4 of the season is silly IMO.

Really if this form continues and we lose to Derby on November 2nd then Colin should really be considering his future...

The Board I feel will keep him until the end of November.
