Re: Eric Lichaj appreciation thread.

Lichaj is a committed player who can do a job in this division, but if we can replace him with better quality than I'm content.

Re: Eric Lichaj appreciation thread.

It amazes me how Lichaj gets a free ride from the fans as he fucks off to earn a fortune elsewhere, yet Fox, even though he ran Osborne close in the player of the season awards is still given vitriolic shit as usual.

I think Eric's time has come to an end for aligning himself with Henri Lansbury and Britt Assombalonga in treating our great club with less respect than it merited.

Along with the aforementioned wankers what exactly did Eric do but run around a lot, which is sort of expected. He along with several others was as guilty of going missing in certain games, as any that the boo boys dish the shit out to.

As Chris Cohen said, not the best Yank to play for the Reds.

To be fair since his decent run in the side at CB I haven't seen any vitriolic shit directed his way

I have, he's still the go to guy when you need someone to be the butt of the jokes, yet Lichaj got away with murder when certain players basically downed tools 18 months ago.

Fox was one of that crew too which is why I don't give a f*** about Lichaj leaving anymore than I will Fox.

Lichaj has made nearly double the appearances than Fox - yet joined the club 6 months earlier. That suggests he’s given a bit more than Fox

1) Lichaj isn't going to be making a fortune at Hull, nor is he f***ing off for the money because by all indications Karanka has said he's free to find a new club.
2) Fox joined the club on a bigger contract than Lichaj did (unsure if that's still the case).
3) Fox had a good second half of last season, which is why the vitriol he deservedly got in previous seasons was muted.
4) Fox was definitely part of the group that downed tools under Pearce, and he spent a lot longer than six months not giving a shit.
5) Eric dug in at times. Definitely not our most talented, but far from being our most idle.

Lichaj's had a better Forest career than Fox had, and like some people write off McKay after a few months, writing Fox back in after a few months doesn't do it for me either. His poor:good ratio is still 4:1, same sort of level we got from David McGoldrick and George Boateng. A couple more years worth of consistency and decency and he's forgiven.

Agree with most of that Robbie. Still think Lichaj was as guilty as Fox for downing tools though.

Funny old game.

Currently under-going his medical

190 appearances. Thanks to our current player with the most Forest appearances. You've given your all.

Re: Eric Lichaj appreciation thread.

Lichajs been a solid right back, willing left back & an all round dependable senior pro.

One of very few players on the list that could have lived a level up for me.

Sad to see him go but he probably wasn't prepared to be backup

All the best Eric

Good solid player.... not solid enough for where we wanna go though.

Good luck and thanks.

Funny old game.

Most people thought he was one of the only ones who played consistently and capably and voted him player of the year. Like Osborn, rarely had a bad game. Fox on the other had, rarely has a good one at left back, hence why some are criticised more than others.

Our number 2 is a Yank called Lichaj!!!

Good luck to Eric, I hope he doesn't go into another Fawazesque circus at Hull but I fear he will.

Good player if your only aspirations are to keep your head above water, unfortunately for Eric we are on to bigger and better things. Also, shock our fans are being nobs to his family on Twitter, we really do attract some helmets

Chanting USA to him saluting the A Block after one of his goals against Arsenal is one of the best memories for years.
Also been reliable throughout.

Good luck Eric.

Like decent Forest Gentleman we should afford him an excellent reception when he returns...and gets run ragged by a couple of young Portuguese.

Good hunting Eric x

Sorry Bryn, but chanting "USA-USA" anytime is unforgiveable, regardless of who the player was.

I don't have a problem with Lichaj but if that is one of your best memories it shows just how shit it is these days down the WFCG.
