Leadership. Bottle. Bollocks.

If we had eleven like him, we wouldn't be so f**ked.

He should be Club Captain.

He should have been made club captain two years ago, to be fair.

Re: Eric Lichaj appreciation thread.

Says a lot about the bloke that his resilience hasn't been broken. He's played ok 99% of the time through all the shit he's seen go on in front of him. You could say he's got it cost here, he plays every week, picks his wages up, he could go through the motions... but he doesn't. He's looked deflated at times but he comes back for more when I'm sure almost any team at this level would have him. You wouldn't have blamed him for leaving either.

Re: Eric Lichaj appreciation thread.

Probably been our most consistent player of the Fawaz reign, there's not many games you can point to and say he wasn't a solid 7. Pretty much always fit too and never been questioned on his loyalty or desire, not a top earner either.

Whoever mentioned a team of 11 Lichajs was right. Players with his sort of attitude, like Osborn, Cohen, Hobbs, should be the core of the squad.

For as much as Billy was praised for his management he had a cohort of players who weren't cretins. Morgan, Camp, Gunter, Mckenna, Moussi, Majewski, Ando, Tys, Earnie, Dex etc - they all cared. I don't want to get into a Billy discussion but the current squad of wasters are made up of signings by various managers and it shows, no team ethic at all. f*** them all off, aside from the good eggs already mentioned.

At this stage id take a relegation if it meant not having to watch handsomely paid snowflakes rinsing the club week after week. That's my biggest gripe, not league position. Just something to get behind, for once, would be nice.

Re: Eric Lichaj appreciation thread.

If I was part of the new ownership group, I would get in touch with Eric and find out about the state of the dressing room.

Eric is a true professional who has played at the highest level and spent 5 seasons with us now. If it's true what was posted on another thread about his displeasure with certain players, then he would be the man to talk to.

Could see him taking the captaincy from now onwards and being integral to the transition of ownership.

Maybe he's one of the players that's been here too long and has had a negative effect on the attitude of subsequent signings?

Only 3 players started in both yesterday's game and that Rochdale FA Cup defeat - Assombalonga, Hobbs, and Lichaj.

100% agree. Was only discussing this yesterday. A proper, professional Forest player through and through.

Spoke to Kat the other week and it's a million percent true that Eric's proper fecked off with the attitude of our mercenaries. What you have to understand is family comes first with the Lichaj's. Their girls are settled here and so Eric is absolutely committed to doing his job to the best of his ability.

A true professional. He must be so close to twatting one of the many who aren't.
