If he's out for another month it's not a good move, there was an article on Jan 14th that suggested he was only 2 or 3 weeks away which would make a lot more sense.

It's the only way we'd be able to afford his salary and stay with FFP bounds anyway, so it makes sense on multiple levels. Only way it goes wrong is if we get immediately relegated and end up lumbered with the financial burden.
