Allegedly didn't like being played as a winger, and Boro signed 2 RBS ahead of him (from my cousin who knows a Boro fan).I’m finding this deal a strange one.
We had at least 3 right backs before bringing him in.
And he was supposedly a target of more than one PL club.
Which makes me wonder why we went for him, why were Boro happy to loan him out & why was he happy to ( at best ) make a sideways move.
Odd..
PS I suspect he will prove to be a shrewd acquisition.
This is the one I understand least.
I agree, which is why I asked if Tutu can play as a winger. This is the one I understand least.
Tutu seemed like the main RB, albeit with crumbly hamstrings.
Back seemed like the youngster with most promise, hence the decision to let Gabriel go.
The Olympiacos lad seemed like backup for a very young Back and a very broken loanee.
I don't really get where this guy fits in? If he's better than Tutu, we might as well send him back. If he's pure backup, why bother with Dräger? He's not an option for the future as he's only on loan.
Odd. It's all gone a little bit FM.
Would have failed the eye testWould have preferred Errol Spence.

This lad can evidently play left-back too Alf.
We also have, in my opinion obviously, a more-than-capable left-back for this level out on loan in Serie B. Hughton's replacement may seek to bring him back in January if a problem remains, although I'm expecting Lowe to perform well in the role.
