Re: Djed Spence

Great attitude and athleticism. A constant threat down the right. Great addition just wish we had already agreed a buy clause.

The encouraging thing is that Dane's methods seem to be landing us some good players at least.

Of course there'll be hit and miss, but our ratio has been ridiculously lopsided towards miss for years, so whatever analysis and thinking is behind getting Spence and Lowe here then we're gonna hopefully start motoring if that gets chance to blossom.

If Vrentrzos doesn't start sticking his nose in and f***ing it all again up of course.

Re: Djed Spence

Posted in the match thread that Spence and Lowe allow Forest to spread play and push higher up the pitch, instead of being camped on their own 18-yard line.

Both were excellent yesterday.

Re: Djed Spence

Have to assume this chap would be attainable in January. Exactly the type of full back we should be after. Young, athletic and something to prove. Plenty good enough for where we're at and looks like there's more to come. Surely 'boro's 3rd choice RB should be within price range.

Re: Djed Spence

If Osei-Tutu eventually gets his injury issue sorted, Djed looks to have central-midfield capabilities to me with his athleticism and ability to drive-forward at pace.

He fell out with Warnock for playing him as a winger, so as a CM would not go down well.

Re: Djed Spence

He is probably not yet good enough going forward to be a winger and not good enough defensively to be a right back - but decent at both which is why he likely looks so at home at right wing back.

I am happy with both him & Lowe, both are at a perfect age with experience and are both attainable going forward.

Hopefully these type of signings are a sign of things to come. Both him & Lowe were low down the pecking order in this division, but basing signings on attributes other clubs don't value and fitting into a specific system will get us so much value.

Let's hope Warnock isn't sacked anytime soon then as we don't want a new man looking at him

Absolutely. Both look better as wing backs, and hopefully these are the types of signings we will see more of from now on.

Like this lad. Like him a lot.

Forest should be making a call about this chap, and Max Lowe as well.

Re: Djed Spence

Wasn't too impressed first game saw him and was wondering whether he was better than Fin Back.

But he's proved my initial doubts wrong, looks a good player. He's better than Back currently, and he's better than Gabriel too.

Other than the obvious need for another striker, I'd say trying to make Spence and Lowe's deals permanent should be a priority for January.

Re: Djed Spence

We’ve also got the Arsenal lad to come back, hopefully after international break-which will provide more options and another rapid player.

Played great tonight and does so with lots of enthusiasm, early days but he could be a real coup if we can get him on a permanent

Warnock said he loaded the lad out to "balance the books" as they are close to FFP, but we all know how Warnock's views are on the truth....

Haven't they signed about 10 players this summer? Including Ameobi who has injury problems, just sounds like Warnock chatting shit again.

Top signing. Gerrim on a perm

Trouble is Warnock is a wily old coyote and he will have noticed hes doing well and we rate him so he and 'Boro will try and squeeze the pips if we go sniffing around asking for a permanent. Thats how bastards like that operate., theres no practicality based on the fact he didn't get a chance up there, it will be 6M or we will have him back.
So for that reason I think hes going to be another of our come to Forest for us to improve your player projects....

Looks to have everything apart from a consistent end product.

Amazing how things have opened out for us now we have genuine "two way" full backs.

It's almost as though the recruitment team knew what they were doing and Hughton didn't have a clue

if the price tag goes beyond 2-3m, that would be out of our reeach , same goes for lowe and Zinckernagel unless we sell off one of the academy lads in january. if johnson keep progressing and still hasn't sign a new contract, the premiership vultures is going to circle.around the club.

Re: Djed Spence

This lad can do everything, he even somehow gave away a free kick in the second half last night when someone tripped over his head when he was on the ground. Magic.

Bloody refs!
