Perhaps Osei-Tutu's injury is more serious than first thought? Or maybe (given that this loan supposedly will have an option to make it a permanent deal) he is seen as a long term right back solution?

I agree. If I were in charge of recruitment, I'd be leaking names to the likes of Nixon then see the reaction of the fans from the selling club. If they're gutted, go ahead and persue a deal. If they'll "drive them there" then just take it no further. Granted there isn't much science behind it but I'm confident it'd work.

A decent striker was an absolute necessity, we are looking a nailed on bottom 6 team scrapping for survival unless a couple of rabbits are pulled out the hat in the next 45 mins.

Agreed, it's extremely frustrating. We tread water each season but with a weight belt around our waist, gradually sinking further year on year.
