As much as this game is in a few days' time, I'm not sure we should rotate that much given it's our only realistic shot at a trophy this season and Nottingham Forest seem to be doing well at the moment.

I see no reason to be optimistic, we look clueless everytime we face these so called weak teams.

Interesting, Forest away form is much better than their home form suggesting they are a counter attacking outfit.

This will be tough, hopefully we get away with a 0-2 loss.

Surely we can't f*** this up too.

Can’t see anything other than a win today. Hopefully some positive performances and another small team in the next round to help us advance further before we eventually reach the final.

I won't call a team that is 4th in the championship a small team...

New special edition shirt out for £65...

Normally I’d say play the youth but I guess the senior players deserve some minutes this season.

Full 180 isn't it, we now have senior internationals needing game time and resting youth.

We've made 9 changes, why even bother?

They've apparently made 10!

First attack we score - now get a few more.

Oh pissing hell.

FFS, stupid pen.

f**k off, that isn't a pen, he is offside.

VAR should overturn this.

Terrible decision by the ref.

Such a slow check but overturned.

The wait is a joke at times.

f*** VAR though right?

For once VAR saves us.

Not only was he (slightly) offside but Tomori got the ball anyway so it shouldn't have been a pen on both counts.

It was an amateurish tackle.

Looked*level...but also looked a harsh penalty. Who knows these days?

Saved by VAR, but that was really poor defending again. We were so open there that if the Forest player was quicker with his decision making, he could have played two players in for a one v one with Caballero.

That was ridiculous, var helps us but jesus what a load of nonsense. Plus it was an actual tackle anyway.*

He got the ball and the young lad looked like a sniper in the stands had got him.

Not sure about the penalty but I’d be livid if that had been given as offside against us. VAR just doesn’t have the accuracy to be able to make a valid decision when the margins are so fine. They need to understand it’s limitations.

Send Barkley back to the Northern slums. Awful player.

Barkley! Goal!

So close to offside.

Even I could play against Riberio and Forest defence and I'm 43.

CHO's best performance I can recall. Opposition is shit but this should do his confidence good.

Good so far against a very average side.

Apart from the Penalty scare and one decent cross across our Goal Forest have done very little.

Their entire top 12*players are not even on the bench the presenters said, so this*is like playing Scunthorpe or Grimsby.

Every time James puts a golden cross in, Bats outward transfer fee goes down by 500,000.

Silly but dont feel confident at 2-0.
*
We wont f*** this up. They have nothing to worry us with.

Really, 2-1 now.

Off to VAR we go.

So slow.

Dreadful marking. VAR to the rescue again.

This VAR crap us ruining the game but we'll take it.

Lol Forest - no luck today.

This ref is clueless.

God we are now making hard work of this game....Sheff Utd etc all over again against even lower opposition.

HOME WIN! YAY! Otherwise, a so-so performance against a second string side. Meh.

Decent performance in parts.* Forest's second string team though so would have been a disaster to lose that.

You know the FA Cup is on its knees when Forest make 10 changes and Barkley gets pulled off the naughty step for a game.

It would be a bit better if all the clubs had to name their FA Cup squads, like they do for the CL. At least if you pick kids you then have to stick with them all the way through regardless.

Eef was f**king useless. terrible decisions made in this game. absolute amateur, needs to return to the conference or wherever he came from.

VAR 2 Ref 0.

Batshuayi is Nottinghams best cb.

Lucky to have had VAR, could have been 2-2 otherwise. The first wasn't even a pen and the second never was a free kick but without the two offsides calls from VAR would have been a whole different game.

OK we are a crooked, we buy kids in a way that puts Gary Glitter to shame and we are as big on equality as Hitler at a bacon buttie party. That aside we are charming...and at least not scouse.

What a bunch of arrogant cockney twats

I remember when they were in the 2nd division getting crowds of 9,000 and Ken Bates bought em for a pound, how times change because a Russian oligarch had some drug money to launder

This in spades. They were as big as Charlton without the charm.

Even in the mid 90’s when Harding has started piling money in we played away there and won 2-0 (SVC brace) and there were only 17k including a couple of thousand reds. I f***ing hate them. People have a go at City for buying it but at least City always had support and a bit of character even when they were shit and dropped down the leagues.

I liked them when it was Osgood, Tambling, Hutchinson, Bonnetti, Charlie Cooke, Webb, Hudson, Chopper Harris, Venables.

I hate Chelsea with a passion, simply because they represent everything that's wrong about football, and their influence has poisoned the modern game. And when I see that seep into Forest it sickens me.

But, with that in mind, I actually think those comments are quite fair. Kudos to this chap too.................

I can seriously see the game birthing a more grass-roots offshoot at some point.

Be interesting (if you have the time and inclination) to see how the records of the 'Big 6' compare when you see how they performed pre- and post-1992.

I'll bet the vast majority of trophies have been won post 1992.

That’s a vile slur on Adolf Hitler, dragging him down to the level of Chelsea.

As much as I dislike Chelsea, I wouldn't argue too much with much of what they say.

I'm just glad we can concentrate on the league now.

Thanks for posting Calvin.

I imagine Everton are the largest losers of the traditional big clubs, followed by Spurs.

I do hope if we ever get promoted the Yanks won't bandwagon us because we're a "Niche" club with an interesting history and name.

I feel we've met our yank quota with Thomas.

I’m not surprised by their comments! Everyone above Watford or outside London is a pheasant. Since Red Roman took over they think football was invented in 1992. Chelsea and their fans are the most plastic fans out there. Plus Arsenal are no better in that sense, in their commercial favoured stadium.

Arsenal are a big club traditionally and the only way they could afford that stadium so close to Highbury was to be commercially minded. They don't have a huge benefactor unlike City or Chelsea so what could they do but try to increase revenue?

Personally I think the CG expansion is a huge mistake and we need a stadium with a view to growing the club which is impossible at the CG.

I think apart from the odd new age Premier league fan comment, the rest are pretty fair and the sympathised with us on the VAR fiasco.

Edited to add that if you want to see real wankerish fan comments, wait till next weekend.

Reading are the ultimate plastic nothing *****. Nothing stadium, nothing town, half the fans only game along since the nothing stadium, their gates double in the premier league and then half the minute they are back in the championship. Their kit is shite. Typical wankerish Southerners too. Awful.
