He doesn't need to rent skis but it makes eye to foot co ordination a bit trickyA contributiory factor has to be the size of his feet.
Size 15... he can probably lean forwards and touch his knows on the ground without bending his knees.

Job creation.Conveniently forgetting the game wouldn't have gone to penalties were it not for another Turner blunder

That's an interesting thought. I think if Sels does well in the next couple of games Nuno will stick with him against United, as he seems to really value the FA cup. But I guess I wouldn't be against giving Turner the chance to make amends for the last time we played them.Really happy for him and hell be playing the next FA cup game as well.
Agree with all of that, though I wouldn't even play him in the next cup round: he's my number 2 as well, and as such I'm happiest when he's benched!Erm... Watching the highlights, I think the in-game narrative (at least on here) might have been incredibly unfair on Turner. It was a good save for their goal, the errors were in the defending. He pulled off two or three really good saves in the game, and made an excellent penalty save (and almost two). Unfortunately for him we've all already pre-decided that he's terrible.
I AM NOT PROPOSING WE START HIM IN THE LEAGUE, before I get permabanned. But fair play to him for last night. He's my number two
My only worry is that within a relatively short timeframe, we'll find that Sels isn't actually any better.Agree with all of that, though I wouldn't even play him in the next cup round: he's my number 2 as well, and as such I'm happiest when he's benched!
Always the worry given our recent record. I'm just pleased, on a human level, that Turner finally has a real positive to take from the game last night - it feels like a long time since we've been able to say that. Will do him the world of good.My only worry is that within a relatively short timeframe, we'll find that Sels isn't actually any better.
We had a great view from our LBC seats. In the matchday thread someone said the Trent End were clapping the save - they would have had a pretty good view.
Hard to make any call on it from the camera angle as you say. My view from U1 in the Bridgford didn't give me any more information and nobody around me seemed to question him either.I'd be really interested to see the Bristol goal from another angle. I've only seen it from the bog standard match camera angle and I'm not sure it does him any favours - looks a bit awkward but it's hard to gauge how much ground he had to make up or what sort of hand he got to it. Maybe he could have done better - I'm really not sure. Hard to say from the angle I've seen. Was a good strike for sure.
In any case, sounds like he had an excellent game otherwise and nice for him to be the hero in the shootout. Hopefully will help go some way to restore his confidence for the next time he's called upon.
