Don't think there's much between Raya and Ramsdale really, though it does seem a bit daft because Ramsdale is a good keeper.

Turner presumably won't be coming to us as backup to Henderson, so this is probably either serious and we've got fed up with Man U's shenanigans, or it's a distraction to say to them, look, we can sign other keepers....

Personally i'd prefer Navas again if we weren't getting Hendo, assuming that's an option again.

Not that I know anything about this lad, but the seemingly difficult process of prizing Henderson away from OT (the latest being ETH encouraging him to stay and fight for a first-team place) quite possibly makes the prospect of him being the No1 here more realistic?

Ornstein will have got the Turner info straight from Arsenal so I'd imagine the interest is true, would Turner swap being number 2 at Arsenal for number 2 at Forest? Doubt it.

It's all a game, they'll be deals and counter deals, pretend deals and fake ones. It's all a complex juggle. I'll happily read it all, but in reality until the club announces anything we just have to wait and see. Can't wait for silly off season to be over and the football to start again. In cooper we trust.

I haven't seen that much of him to be fair, he's only played a handful of times for Arsenal, and actually not too many for the US (though he seems to be their first choice) and spent his previous career in the MLS.

I notice Turner initially started off playing other sports such as basketball and came to football later on when he was about 14.

Calling a keeper a good shot stopper doesn't show any of their other attributes though which can be important for a side which will struggle probably - his throwing is probably fine, as is his catching if he was a basketball player, but what about his kicking? It's the one thing which really let Henderson down.

Tbf Hennessey was fine as our 2nd choice last season, if we buy Turner we won't have the issue of being on loan and not being allowed to play against his parent club, and then there's always Horvath who tbh isn't far off Hennessey anyway, so either of them will be fine for playing the 3-4 games a 2nd choice usually does.
