Well, I'm glad that this aging, fading, grasping time waster isn't coming to Forest.
Not the sort of character we want in our Club, thank you very much.
As my old Granny would say, looking at his photograph, "his eyes are too close together... never trust anyone whose eyes are too close together... it's a sign of a petty criminal".

I thought it was strange that he would leave Fulham when they were offering him a contract as well.

Worth a try, but on to the next target. Natalie Jackson looks like an idiot after her "scoop" last week, mind you.

Regarding Nat's scoop: the veracity of the scoop matters naught today, providing the number of clicks on the click-bait ads is big.

Yeah same. Settled at Fulham, twilight of career where he's earned all his money, London lifestyle.

I wouldn't be surprised if he used our interest to get Fulham to give him more of what he wanted, whether that was money or an extra year.

Never mind, not the end of the world.

Considering he has spent all of his career in England playing in London (with Chelsea and Arsenal), I suppose he'd rather stay somewhere familiar as well. Can't blame him at this stage of his career to be fair to him.

The blame rests squarely on the shoulders of the media who poured baseless stories out.
It is shared by the gullible public, who soak up every story without questioning the logic of the speculation.
For example: there are countless stories in the media about Brennan Johnson leaving Forest for a bigger club. Fine... but as a thinking person, I examined the issue before getting all emotional about losing one of the best young players this summer.
1 BJ is a life-long supporter of forest, and has a longish contract with the club he loves;
2 He has just completed his first season in the top flight, and at times struggled for form, and found the standard incredibly high;
3 He was supported Steve cooper, one of the foremost experts in bringing out the best in young talent, a man who the whole squad (bar Shelvey (J)) respect and play for;
4 The clubs the media link him with may be a bit ahead of forest, but they are not the very top echelon;
As a result I conclude the media are merely speculating and that in my opinion the speculation is basically groundless.

He definitely attended the NDA last week, but it was to see the facilities and not for a medical. So it was not entirely baseless.

I’m quite glad he’s staying at Fulham, I don’t think the idea of old attacking players.

I must have PTSD from when we signed Andy Cole.
I'm the other way around, I like attacking old players like the 34 Year Old Willian.

Fair play to him. We offered more money and a longer contract yet he chose to continue with Fulham. The guy obviously isn't motivated by money alone, Bravo!

To be fair he lives in London heading towards the end of his career and sticking with the team he did well with last season and is minted so can pick xnd choose....then go to Saudi next year
If I was Willians agent and being a neutral knowing his personal sitiuation it was a no brainer really.

I think we have been burnt so many times by older signings that we are naturally dubious.

Like others have said I’m not totally gutted about this one failing, especially on a big two year contract at 34.
