Actually I read other posts on here with interest and see that so many of us have stories to tell. It's just that I'm getting on a bit and like to reminisce rather more than most.
I honestly wish I could write. Instead i have a gob so i tell my stories on stage, which in essence will be forgotten over time. I find your posts about your life fascinating and if you are writing them down then I look forward to reading them. The written stories last much longer than the spoken and are enjoyed by many more. I may be wrong but I believe it was you that did the tour of every Stadium in the professional leagues? That alone I would like to read/hear about.

I did ask my friend about the computer analysts at Man City and he did say that it does indeed still happen by the way, although he doesn't know if it was as in depth as you saw as he works in the sports science department and doesn't see much of the goings on mid match.

I'd love to write a book, so I'm hoping to steal all of Val's stories, fill it in with some background and jobs a good'en.

He did a blog on his football voyage, that was good.

Yep, I've never seen a player melt like that before... we should have signed him right back up when he got subbed.

Stan had an equally tough time as I recall when he returned with the 'poo'. Subbed off also to a crescendo of boos.

One season I got a home and away season ticket and did all 46 games. On the visit to the away grounds I worked out an how to visit all 92 football league grounds that season. I did a blog about it, but I've forgotten the address. I'll look it up and put it on here so that in our next boring game, you can have something to read.

Thanks Barry, I replied to Carlos and then saw your very kind post. I had always wanted to do the round of clubs and after my wife died it was a bit of therapy, took me out of myself.

Some do the clubs by going to games, I met a few of those, but I decided to just go to grounds and knock on the door to have a look around rather than seeing games which probably wouldn't interest me. I had great fun and most people were extremely king to some old duffer with a big white beard sidling up to them and asking to wander round their ground.

Scored more than us in the last couple of minutes than we have in over 9 hours. But why would we want to give our own developed players a chance.

I'd much sooner see a Forest team full of Walkers & Yates etc, who actually give a f*** & give it a go, than what we're being subjected to.

You watch the ownership now try and force academy players not ready into the side

All that hard work bringing players like Walker & Benny on for years, all for the club to flush it down the shitter to sign a million duds.

"Professionals with a plan"
