Really, really good tonight, he gives you absolutely everything and he is a hard bastard. I'm pleased he's finishing with some brilliant performances. Can't fault the man since he's come back and the fact it has meant we haven't missed Cook is the biggest praise I can give him.

One poor defensive header first half but plenty of vital blocks and interceptions. Playing as well as I've seen him. Should have scored with that other header though!

Blocked a certain goal with a last ditched tackle when they got in behind. Holding the Cook position admirably and has not looked out of place on the "red wall".

Best of the back 3 the last two games.

Actually bailed the others out a few times.

Yeah I think I agree.

He's been excellent. Struggling to understand who this composed, calm player is all of a sudden but then I realise he's had the Cooper treatment.

Fair play to him, he's revived his reputation and will probably get a decent contract for next season back in Portugal.

Wish he wasn't leaving in the summer.

The character and professionalism he's shown when he knows he's probably 4th of 5th choice of the centre backs.

He's shown so much desire for the team in whatever circumstances. I'll never forget the effort. I'd love to see him stay with us.

Commanding and aggressive once again tonight. Really suits the three at the back and was a MOTM contender again this evening.

...And he really is a team man. Just gets on with it. Frankly if Ryan Yates can improve the amount he has under Coops theres no reason Figs can't either. Just a shame he will likely be off in 10 games....

Worrall and McKenna rightly get the plaudits but I thought that was under-the-radar one of Toby's best in a Forest shirt in terms of any little bit of danger there was he covered it and turned into a nothing moment for them. Credit to him.

Been the case since he has got in the team really and largely using the ball better than he has in the past as well.

It's like having a new signing. Cooperman has waved his magic wand.

Figs has always been a confidence player, no surprise a coach with the man management skills that Cooper has is bringing the best out of him

Done well when called upon since Cook's injury and played well again last night. Never been as bad as some folk have made him out to be, and yet another player who has improved under Cooper.

I agree and its funny how its exactly this sort of player that fans love to pull down rather than build up.

I have an inkling that Figs could go on somewhere and have quite a good career. Hes still young and I think hes able and has good attributes, so if hes put in the right system with the right partners and given confidence you never know. Certainly think he could do a job in the top Spanish league.

I also reckon he'll go on to have a good career closer to home in either Spain or Portugal. Hopefully he can help us get promoted in the meantime, then (should he not stay here) he can leave in the summer with his head held high in the knowledge that he played his part in our success.

He arrived with Rolls Royce performances and is leaving in the same vein. I love the f***er, always gives 100% but is a quality defender. Been hung out to dry on many occasion when we were collectively shit.

I’ll miss him when he’s gone. Would love to see him celebrating promotion

A player that apparently wanted to leave in the summer because he was homesick and wanted to go back to Portugal, but agreed to stay until the club found a replacement.

A player who was apparently set to leave in January but for a Forest cock up on the paperwork.

A player who has had little game time this season and who has had to bide his time.

A player who was called on in an emergency and who has given his absolute all to the cause, being an absolute rock at the heart of the defence.

A player who, no matter what happens from here on in, when he finally leaves, should be accorded the utmost respect and affection from the fanbase for not only being a top professional but also fully committed to the cause (even when he may not have been at his best).
