The Winter Pre-Season Thread

Over here there are reports that we're interested in one of your Frenchmen (which may simply mean that you need to offload one of your Frenchmen to us...). It can obviously not be Niakhaté or Biancone, it is most probably not Boly, because he has begun to play for you, so I guess it's either Mbe Soh or Badé. The latter has not played for you (he was only on the bench once), therefore his move to us is not restricted by the two teams rule. So maybe Badé played for us to see him, rather than Cooper.
I think it will be Mbe Soh. He's hardly kicked a ball for us since he signed and struggled to break in which has become significantly harder now. Very good ball player though and steps out with it. The lad just needs a good run of games.

I'd be glad if it's Mbe Soh, I like him.

Mbe soh really needs a loan - hope so. Good passer of the ball, has the attributes but not at all sure about his defensive side.

Was surprised when he wasn't loaned out especially as panzo was.
I wondered if our aim was to get him properly fit prior to his next move, though maybe noone came in for him.

There's a player in there - I thought he looked a real prospect until a couple of friendlies where he looked very shaky defensively. He has a great eye for a forward pass though so if we can iron out the kinks he could become a player for us eventually.

That's said I think the destination of his next move will tell us about our long term plans for him - if he heads out to ligue 2 as rumoured I'd assume he's probably not part of our long term plans, unless the aim is just getting a run of games in.

Mbe Soh will most likely never play in a meaningful game for us again. Poor signing really all things considered.

A move away, either loan or permanent suits all parties. Particularly if it's to Olympiakos where we can do a bit more creative accounting...

You do wonder who the people are making decisions like charging a fiver for a middle of the season friendly

I am sorry, but if anyone from Forest is reading this - and you should be - charging people Five Pounds to watch a meaningless mid-season friendly is frankly just taking the piss, and a blatant money-grab.

Have you no shame, at all?

There are many fans who cannot watch Forest on the telly because they cannot, or will not, pay money to Sky. Also, the prospect of getting a ticket to a match is extremely remote because they are almost impossible to get hold of this season, due to the over-selling of „Memberships“. Many of said members - especially at the “Bronze“ tier - cannot even buy a ticket as there are none left.

You need to rethink this NFFC, and sharpish.

Plus the friendlies I paid for in pre season were worth about 20p because the quality of stream, commentary and viewing angle was piss poor at best.

I’ll watch the free highlights on YouTube.

£5 feels like I’d be getting robbed again.

Yes, but for a mere 4.99 you get the privilege of watching Pajtim Kasami whom you all love so much.

(Seriously, do I need to mention that there will be "alternatives”?)

Exactly, I’ll never pay to stream a friendly again after that shambles.

A dodgy stream will be higher quality.
