Can' get it on kodi up to now. I'll try again in a couple of days. As I failed to get Man City tickets, going to Wrexham v Gateshead on Tuesday. The first Saturday match that I ever went to was Wrexham v Gateshead in the FA Cup 1st Round 1976. Wrexham won 6-0.

King's Lynn, dumped out of the National League last season, are now top of the Nat League North and today beat Peterboro Sports 2-1 away.

A fine recovery. Yippee.

The National League looks competitive again this season,FJ-I suppose Wrexham,Notts County and
Chesterfield must all fancy their chances.

Well, would you believe it! The Linnets threw away a three goal lead to draw with Chester 3-3. A game of two halves; now where have I heard that before? Chester brings vibes, too.

Still top of National North, though. Keeps me sort of happy in these troubled times.

Has he singed yet?
Can't quite think of them as having been in the premier League when it started. If Notts County hadn't been quite so shit, they'd have been premier League founders too.

Pleased to say the Linnets go marching on. Top of Vanarama North at the moment they drew on Saturday at home to Bedford Town in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup. Also pleased to say that they still, for the moment, have replays at this stage of the Cup and we won at Bedford last night 0-3 to play Kettering in the next round. Saved that lottery of penalties.

The prize money at this stage of the competition, to our eyes might not seem much (next round the winners receive over £5,000), but it can be a life saver for these cash-strapped clubs. So the FA Cup lives on brightly in the lower leagues

The Linnets thumped Kettering Town 6-1 in the Emirates FA Cup yesterday to march on to the fourth qualifying round. That's played on 15th October, the matches come thick and fast in the lower leagues; wish we had a game for Forest to distract from the whole sorry mess the world has got itself into.

Those of you who keep up with Basford United will be thrilled with last night's result, a penalty shoot out victory over Boston in the 3rd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup. They had never previously been as far as the 4th Qualifying Round, in which they are drawn away to Solihull Moors. Win that and it's the 1st Round, potentially against a Football League club.

Potentially against Derby. Let's not forget those losers start in the 1st round this season :)

Both my local non-League sides made it through to the 1st Round proper. Bracknell Town for only the second time in their history, and Maidenhead United. Gutted to see that I have other plans for the 5th November, and they don't involve the WFCG either.

Hoping for a Friday night game: Maidenhead to entertain Wycombe perhaps? or the sheep?

Kings Lynn go to the Keepmoat and beat Doncaster to move to the 2nd Round of the FA Cup.

They scored just before our equaliser went in; a great five minutes or so.

Don't know if anyone else saw this but the Bath City/Dulwich game the other night was abandoned after about 10 minutes.

It seems that the ground has rigid (i.e. concrete) backed advertising hoardings round it and a player - Alex Fletcher - has impacted head first.

It sounds awful and the tone of messages coming out of the club and the whole football world suggest it's really bad.

Of course, I'm full of the Linnets these days as they are going pretty well in their national League North. Beat Kidderminster on Saturday to move second in their League, three points behind the leaders Brackley Town, with three games in hand. Mostly due to their success in the FA Cup.

As you may gather, I'm rather enjoying my football at the moment.

Oh, and I understand that King's Lynn are on the Beeb on Nov 25th in their Cup game against Stevenage, there might be the draw for the third round afterwards, too. Just checked and that's a Friday, so probably not the draw that night! So, if you're boycotting the WC or just fed up with it, tune in for some robust cup action.
