I'm feeling optimistic - still think we'll out point Luton in their run in and do just enough, probably without looking convincing for anything other than the odd spell within games.

Taking the emotion/disappointment out of not getting the all important wins (and ignoring the opposition), we've stemmed a four game losing run with a couple of draws... win Tuesday would be great, I'm half expecting another draw.

Ultimately there's no easy points at this level, but I hope we can grind enough out to address some of the issues prior to what will be a more difficult division next year... COYR!

It's OK. No need to panic. So we didn't beat Palace in one of our win bankers but there's plenty of other opportunities coming to get 3 points on the board. We just have to beat Fulham.

Jam tomorrow.

It's a test of faith alright. As fans we almost find ourselves in a situation where we could follow the rest of our season not by watching the Reds, but by watching Luton and Everton, since we're reduced to relying on others being worse and supporting teams we don't like against those two.

I can take losses and underformances, what I can't take is not learning from them. Nuno's experimenting with starting selections when he has already seen who works/where and who doesn't, and blind insistence on MGW taking set pieces, worry me about the longer term culture.

So I tell myself that in season two the most important job is just to stay up. Doesn't matter how pretty or satisfying, just stay up. Then regroup in the summer. The table and fixtures show it's still within our gift and I'm a natural optimist. But you better buck your ideas up, you Reds.

Mood is fairly Ok - the Palace result was a disappointment, yet it bizarrely meant we climbed out of the relegation zone. Nuno has frustrated me and I don't feel that he is that invested in the club. I accept that he has had an awful lot to deal with; we're 4 points worse off because of the clubs actions behind the scenes and that has nothing to do with the manager.

I'm fully backing him but he needs to be more positive with his team selections. Let's try something different; start Reyna and take MGW off corners, we're at the stage where we've got nothing to lose.

The mood has the potential to turn really nasty, if we don't get a good result on Tuesday; a 3 manager season would be a disaster, so we've got to keep backing the players and the manager.

There's not really a middle ground with the mood at the moment; if we win on Tuesday then 4 points from these 2 home games looks good and we're all happy. If we lose, then the mood will be rock bottom and potentially toxic.

Temporarily happy if we win on Tuesday. Goes a long way towards staying up but staying up is just a short term goal, we would still need to overhaul manager and half the playing squad in the summer but we won't be able to because we've put ourselves in a financial corner, and the league next year won't have the same level of shiteness that the bottom three has displayed this year, so if anything it feels like we're going to go down either this season or next.

That's the middle ground believe it or not.

The happy is being able to flog Murillo for £80m odd and get rid of the deadwood and get a manager who wants to be here for next season and who's actually decent.

I'm still Buzzing, the chap on the Sky football show thinks Forest will survive. :dancingb:

Much more confident re relegation than I was a few days ago.

Huge win. More positive football. Elanga, MGW and CHO firing and Everton looking to be facing 4-8 points deduction
Yes I think we have to look at the current situation and feel reasonably confident now. Everton should be looking at heading into the bottom three once their deduction is confirmed. They're also in awful form.

Luton have an irritating amount of heart but a clear lack of quality and depth and for me will struggle to reach 30 points. Based on that and a hypothetical deduction for Everton (let's go conservative and say 4 points) so what it comes down to now is whether we can be good enough to match or even be slightly outscored points-wise by those two.

I've been quietly (or not!) confident of our survival for a while now - specifically since we stopped shipping two, three of four goals every other game. I think we have enough to outpoint those below us in the run of games we have. Last night helps massively, as I thought we'd muddle out way with draws. Win v Everton (don't know why but confident of that regardless of what they do in the meantime) and another v one of Wolves, Sheffield United (please!), Burnley would do it.

Win v spurs away probably too much to ask for, but I wouldnt take a point now - stranger things have happened where forest are concerned.

If there is a god they'd fix it so we'd achieve mathematical safety at Bramall Lane whilst officially relegating them.
I would also be onboard with this.
