But not actually getting better results.
And, as I’ve been told for 20 odd years now…results based business…blah.
It's only results related when you're trying to get a legend of a manager out his position, and are too weak to back him.

When everything is still shit results wise after the change, then it's time to get high on the copium that is "good football".

Mood update - defiant!
On the pitch I hope we play as if the world is against us on Saturday and for the rest of the season. Off the pitch, I hope we continue to do whatever it takes to make a stand against the EPL. I want us to take it as far as we can, regardless of where we finish in the league. And, if we do stay up, I hope we have the balls to continue to put as much pressure as we can on the EPL and to rail against the incompetence, lack of common sense and corruption that seems to be so rife in that organisation. Even if we are the lone dissenting voice I want us to be heard and to be a thorn in the side of the EPL. I want them to hate us even more than they seem to do now. f*** 'em!

Weird season because we’ve improved no end as a prem league team

No, we haven't.

We're weaker defensively, and our attacking output is largely unchanged. We keep the ball better in the middle of the park but as an impact onto results it's almost irrelevant.

We are where we are on merit. We improved elements of the squad (Murillo, CHO) but other elements are demonstrably weaker (goalkeeper, Taiwo being out). We're also making more mistakes than we were last season. We were struggling under Cooper and if anything we've got worse under Nuno, especially after the Man Utd game.

We are a poor team. In most other years we'd be near certainties to go down. We're only still in the battle to stay up because the bottom three are so terrible.

The last two weeks since Luton have seen the focus on FFP - the points deduction, and the appeal.
Conceding a late equaliser at Luton was a real downer.

Now we have two very important games at the WFCG.

Like Enlightened I’m up for it. Just listened to Nuno on Sky - he’s focused on on-field not off-field events.

We have the players to deliver the results but they too must be up for it, and remain focussed throughout the games.

As supporters we have our part to play.

For all the issues with EPL we need to be in it.

Feeling content today, if not especially thrilled.

It's been such a terrible season as a fan, mind you. We had the first month where we sold our talisman, then the next three months waiting for the inevitable axe to fall on Cooper, then two months waiting for the points deduction. Now we've got the run-in scraping points against relegation.

Hopefully we stay up, but this has probably been the worst season since the Lamouchi/Hughton one. There's not been much to cheer for.

Even with the deduction we are now outside the trap door, Luton have Arsenal and City away coming up, we have Fulham and Wolves.

We should be able to get more points than Luton over the next 8, if not then no excuses we don't deserve to be here. Forest will do Forest things however and will inevitably take it to the last moment.

Personally I have not been as stressed as last season despite all the Forest shenanigans.

A quick look on social media and some of the posts on this forum since the final whistle you would think Luton won and we lost. We are not in the bottom 3 that’s a small positive.

I legit have no idea if we will stay up my main concern is the squad do not have the character required for a relegation battle. In truth we look no different under Nuno than we did under Cooper. We are a very poor team which makes losing the 4 points for the FFP breach even more of an issue.

It’s just all very frustrating and all very typical Forest.

I totally get the reaction to the results tbh.

Luton lost to a top side away from home and weren't expected to come away with anything.

We dropped points at home to one of THE worst away sides in the league currently, and needed that game to make up serious ground on Luton and Everton.

Luton have Bournmouth, Brentford, Everton and Fulham all at home rest of the season, very beatable teams. Palace was one of ours and we fluffed our lines, and we only really have Fulham now to catch up. The rest of our home games are against much better opposition.

A draw really wasn't good enough today tbh. IMO, we're gonna need snookers to get us out this mess now.

Thankyou Steve!
If we survive this season somehow even though we're arguably the third-worst footballing side, it will be even worse next season. Three stronger teams promoted, FFP concerns will lead to selling off two or three of our short list of quality players, another scattergun transfer window with less money, NES... could be a painful one.

Feeling much better than i was at half time. At that stage we were 4 pojnts adrift and looking over our shoulders at Shef United catching us.

Now out of the bottom 3 and thats something. So im feeling better.
That isn't lost on me either. Point won, point closer. I think we stay up, though I thought we'd win today until we started playing so...

I don’t think we need snookers yet,Alf-but we will soon unless we win some games.

I can't see where our next win is coming from Cloughie, unless we get a freak result.

I had today and Fulham down as us needing 4 points as I did not think we would be good enough to win back to back games. Lot of pressure on Fulham now (they did concede 3 against Sheff Utd). I am grasping to find positives.

I think what displeased me the most about today was we equalised but never kicked on and really went for it. It super frustrating and I do not agree with Nuno in the post match presser that the players showed fight and heart. That should be a given and it should be for the full 90 minutes. I did not see that in the first half.

Nuno has the look at times of a person who has handed in their notice at work and is just working there notice period. They turn up to work but don’t really care what happens. That’s a pretty scary thought when we are counting on Nuno to inspire a squad who in my view have serious character issues.

I hope we stay up so if I don't renew it can't be said it was because we went down.

The atmosphere is shit, the pedestrian football is shit, the time-wasting is shit, the attitude is shit, not for the first time this season I sat there bored yesterday.

Tuesday night I'm gonna have to break a few laws to get there for a half 7 kick off, if I end up regretting that shit it might be enough for me.... supposed to be a little bit entertaining even in defeat, this shit served up just isn't.
