You're enjoying our misfortune?

I'm enjoying watching certain folk squirm as the realisation dawns on them that we chased away the best thing to happen to this club in decades because the manchild owner who isn't grounded in reality indirectly told them what to think.

Petty maybe but I'm still absolutely seething.

That we only have Ryan Yates left from that afternoon at Wembley shows to me that the heart and soul of the club is all but ripped out after promotion, that the connection it has with its fans is stretched almost to breaking point.

Mismanagement, maladministration and a "giving less than a shit about the paying supporter" bites after a while.

Can't disagree with the last line... On the pitch and off it we've f**ked up massively throughout. We haven't helped ourselves as much as the refs haven't helped us.
You can't defend like we do AND pass up the chances Elanga and Origi are specialising in missing right now.

Who else should be here? Apart from Samba, I'm struggling.

This is the price of ambition in some people's eyes.

Worrall, Mangala for starters. Worrall as club captain and dressing room presence, Mangala because we didn't need to replace him.

Johnson may have stayed if we didn't need to sell. Hard to say whether we wouldn't have cashed in though.

Then maybe we could have pushed harder on Garner. Maybe we could have kept Cook or McKenna as backup considering Felipe and Boly have struggled to remain fit.

All 6 or 7 of those players would have been decent options for us still. Maybe not star players but part of a healthy squad.

It's a fair question too, the squad doesn't have anywhere near the desire and work ethic that promotion squad did or even our squad from last year. It's a major contributing reason as to why we're at risk of relegation.

I am quite chipper, mainly because VfB Stuttgart battered TSG Hoffenheim, 0-3 away, in this weekend‘s Topspiel der Woche.

Safely ensconced in third place, seven points clear of Leipzig and nine clear of Dortmund, and although Die Schwarzgelb have a game in hand, it’s tomorrow and their guests are Eintracht Frankfurt, and they can be lethal on their day, and also need points for the European places.

Sebastian Höneß has done a fantastic job this season, and everyone liked that.

I'm actually more positive than I was last week I have absolutely no idea why but we absolutely have to spend 2 weeks sorting out defending set pieces its embarrassing now I don't care about the attacking set pieces just at their moment but would be nice if we improve those awlswell gibbs-white needs removing from them instantly the only other worry is will we have a striker other than origi in 2 weeks time

Probably no one-but the point about mismanagement, maladministration and not caring about
the supporters (especially those who supported us in the depths of League 1 and numerous
Championship relegation struggles) is very valid.
I agree with that 💯. But we all know that many of the heroes weren't up to the Premier League challenge, some of those we did keep struggled massively in the first few months of last season.

We needed a midfield man and Man U messed us around over Garner. And, it's not like he's not fought successive relegation battles with Everton either.

To be fair to Garner, he isn't the sole reason he's been in those battles. Think it would have been great to have him back, if not for those f*cking Manc w*nkers. Still, that's all what ifs.

I'm not sure the fans have much to do with Marianakis' actions mate, not that I'd tell you how to act/feel.

I sympathise. You're allowed to be petty!

But I don't remember lots of posters calling for SC's head.

Personally, I love the man - both as a person and a manager - but even I thought his time was up - whether because of the "manchild" or the momentum of a relegation battle.

I would have wanted him to stay the season - even if it ended in relegation - and keep us competitive in the the Championship. But that isn't where we are and Nuno - and the team - deserve our support, imho. I think Nuno's a decent manager. Whether that's enough, this season, is yet to be discovered ...

We've been royally f*cked by PL officiating this season, but if we don't stay up from here, it's on us, even with a points reduction.

(p.s. usually only post when drunk, so this is likely a series of several non-sequiturs.)
(p.p.s. I hope to see SC back at the CG at some point in the future. Like a Billy Davies remix but without the Trumpian hysterics.)

The atmosphere wasn't the same at the beginning of the season either. Everyone loves Coops but we were plunging towards the dross at the bottom. We hadn't a clue how to use the non-injured striker. The fans were beginning to question him.

I don't know as the goodwill would have held out. The points deduction would still have been there. Coops had decided the club captain was on the way out too.

Managers come and go. The real problem isn't the supporters, it's the owner and his entourage, but we're not changing that any time soon.
