The Mood

At least I don’t work with a Derby fan. That’d be insufferable on top of everything.
You're lucky you don't live amongst them. 😬

Win against Luton and the mood will change drastically just like it did when we beat West Ham.

However at the moment it’s hard to imagine that, Prem football is very mentally draining.
I think the possibility of a win against Luton is pretty low.
They have fight, and some of their championship players are starting to look like they have Premiership abilities.
We, on the other hand, look deficient in most areas of the pitch, with players who have no stomach for the fight.
Reading the posts on here today i think the mood has changed to Grim from cautiously optimistic.

We’re in ‘do or die’ territory now,Captain.
Unless we can pick up some significant points in our next 3 games (Luton,Palace and Fulham)
then we can all look forward to visits from the likes of Plymouth,Millwall and Bristol City
next term.
At least the queue for fish cakes won’t be as long.

If the owner puts the season ticket prices up, rather than chopping them back I might not be at games therefore the queue for fish cakes will not be a concern of mine.

Try keep the faith Captain, last season was a tougher league and we turned it round in more difficult circumstances.

Our fate for now is in our own hands, if Nuno is the man for us and we are destined to remain in the Prem then all will fall into place starting against Luton.
I think 1999-2022 has made us Forest fans be perhaps more fickle than any other fan base in the country, it’s almost like we have been in an abusive relationship.

I hope for all us loyalists that we can all come back on here 5pm Saturday and enjoy the complete 180 in our emotions as we head into the international break 6 points clear.

We might be disillusioned,Tom-but we bizarrely keep turning up for more.

I have seen Forest teams every year since i went to the City Ground as an 8 year-old back in 1962.
Even in the really bad days of Division 3, I kept the faith.
It isn't just Forest I feel so low about these days.
It is the whole Professional Game in England that is beyond redemption.
On Wednesday Luton could beat Bournemouth in the rearranged fixture, and a victory by 2 clear goals would put them into 17th position, and us into 18th.
And I see no way that in those circumstances Forest will come out of the bottom 3.
That is my reality at the moment.
And I see no way that the top 6 clubs will ever be displaced because the financial barriers they have flouted with impunity, and now encourage strict policing, unless and until they leave the English leagues and go to a European super-league.
There is no realistic competition in the top flight.

Our Moods are decided by Referees and VAR every week, The Premier League should be embarrassed with what they have produced a non competitive league. The sooner the big 6 join super league the better.
Very true.

The big six need to f*** off and nosh each other off in the Super League.

Only THEN... can we get back to the working class game of football.

Football as WE know it has slowly died since the birth of the PL .

100% this,Captain.
More bad news,I’m afraid-if Luton win by 1 goal on Wednesday we are dumped in the
relegation zone (assuming the EPL don’t do it first).

Let's hear a big shout-out for cloth caps, donkey jackets and whippets!
Players travelling to games on public transport.
All standing, no rich bastards exec boxes.
No foreign governments or crime syndicates owning clubs.

Not to mention 3.00PM kick-offs and restoring the FA and League Cups to meaningful
competitions.
Also-telling UEFA to stop f*****g up the English game.

I am still optimistic. The last time we had an obviously winnable game, vs West Ham, we did it comfortably. We weren't outclassed by Liverpool at all, and Brighton away is tough even if they haven't been on great form.

The next 3 games will probably decide it (Luton a, Palace h, Fulham h). 7-9 points from those and things will look a lot better.
