Trouble is, the kind of meaty challenge needed to dispossess Henri might end up with you getting first use of the soap!

What a strike. He'd attempted it earlier I think but it got blocked. Wonderful.

I was sat in LB, thought it was gonna hit me on the head at first, then it dipped and hit the back of the net.

I sit in the UB behind the goal and had the perfect view of it also. The ball was going straight and looked as if it would just go wide of the post until it curved beautifully and curled into the top corner. A 30 yard wonder goal, for deffnate!

He'll be our top goalscorer with the look on it.

A sublime finish, top drawer.

Was right behind it in TE upper. Looked like it was going wide from there too.

This. It seemed to be heading WAY wide, then just ripped leftwards. Oddly, it doesn't look quite as spectacular on TV as I remember it.
Not complaining, though!

I was in T6 and it looked perfect from the off from where I was sitting. Remember screaming "THAT one's f***ing in!" the moment he kicked it.

He seemed to be the only one willing to have a swing.

Our "strikers" wanted to walk the ball in. Lost count of the number of times our section of the crowd were shouting 'shoot' and the player concerned tried one more trick or pass.

Bump.

Half way through the season and I thought Henri deserved being mentioned in a thread of his own.

The lad is pure class, best midfielder in the Championship (sorry Reidy) and destined to play in the Premier League for many years to come, hopefully with us. What a snip at £1m.

Fukkan love you Lansbury.

Absolute bargain! And Halford! And Lichaj and Jara. We've got some excellent players for very cheap, just a shame our more expensive players don't work out.

Lansbury is quality. I remember when he played a long pass forward from defence under SOD and everyone got a little excited because we hadn't seen much of him. He's really living up to those expectations. He was excellent defensively today but going forward he's great too! A complete midfielder

He just keeps better and better. Physically he seems really strong. He battered one of the QPR players off the ball the other day and shot and did something similar today. Very composed when he has the ball and he has a great engine. He is the epitome of a modern midfielder and would easily make the step up to the premiership. He plays a bit like Aaron Ramsey. I would like him to get one or two more goals but without Vaughan he has to drop back more. Lansbury, Reid and Vaughan make a fantastic midfield partnership. Superb.

This lad has heart

He's a true lion. There was a challenge in the 90th minute right by the dugout where he smashed the ball out for a throwing, took out their player and shouted at him full blooded after. Epitomised his performance today.

Because of our disciplinary stats, people on the forum have been comparing us to Leeds of the seventies (in jest of course) that being the case then Lansbury must be our version of Norman 'Bites your Legs' Hunter as the stats on the Forest site show him having committed 42 fouls (almost double any other player) and hes received 8 yellow cards so far. I'm sure that it's more passion than than being the thug that Hunter was.

Its why getting someone in like Vaughan is a must, along with Billy giving game time to Raddy - everyone knows that Lansbury is going to get suspended sooner rather than later - so we need to have the plan in place now to cover for it.

I would imagine when he is suspended then (if we have Vaughan) - Raddy will come it to play the Lansbury role for the suspension.

The one player we must hang on to for as long as possible. We really do have the making of a Prem side here with Lansbury, Lascelles & possibly Darlow being young enough to grow into stalwarts. We need to learn from the mistakes made in the past when we flogged the Hart crop and build instead of cash-in if possible.

You can get a yellow for scratching your arse these days. Norman "bites yer legs" Hunter had normnally decapitated someone to get a warning from the ref never mind a yellow. In them days dirty meant dirty.

He was at Arsenal for 10 years+ IIRC, they must have seen something. I'm still astonished they sold him.
