Not sure what you all saw today from Henri. Looked unfit and didn't half moan a lot. Ref was shit I agree but come on Henri your better than that.

We look so toothless without Reid.

Also, I think Pato through the middle takes a bit away too.

If we can get Reid back on Tuesday, with Lansbury and maybe even Vaughan, we could still do something in the last 6 games.

But we really need Reid alongside Lansbury.

What I saw was someone with ability, energy, strength and fight. Something I haven't seen from our midfield for weeks. What did you see? Granted he's half fit but he's still miles ahead of all the other midfielders on the pitch.

I would have moaned at the ref too. He was f***ing atrocious. Worst I've seen this season. Completely out of his depth.

I saw him falling over a lot and not really being fouled. He moan considerably but granted his appearance lifted the team. I wouldn't blow smoke up his arse for today's performance. His free kicks were awful too. The first half midfield were so poor you could be forgiven to think lansburys performance was good.

I've still got a mild buzz going... just watching him enter the field and take responsibility when the chips are down... 'this is how it's done'.... his free kicks were a bit disappointing but that's beyond the point... his steel and desire was there for all to see

As I said before...it suddenly felt like Forest again with him on the pitch... cant pay a bigger compliment than that

Before he came on, it looked liked there was 50 metres between our midfield and attack.

That's what happens when you dont have a centre forward on the pitch

Lansbury was pure class today, but evidently rusty. Everything went through him, it makes you salivate at the prospect of a midfield of:

Reid - Lansbury - Vaughan - Cohen - Paterson

I don't think Cohen will ever go back to being a full-time midfielder again to be honest.

He's at his best at left-back. I think we'll sign another centre-mid in the summer.

We can but dream. We'd need his legs in there I think, it will allow Lansbury to concentrate on attack.

I think Reid Vaughan Lansbury all compliment each other perfectly. But i'd like us to add some steal and legs like you say, but i'd much rather it be an addition as opposed to Cohen going in there.

Reid will be on the left though, leaves a spot open in the middle still. That's presuming we still go 4-5-1.

I don't know if he will be on the left, if we play 4-5-1/4-3-3 I think he'll stay at one of the 3. If it's to be a diamond, he'll be down as being on the left, but he'll play very narrow.

Reids position is central now. His days of playing on the wing are gone.

Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury said he was delighted to be back out on the City Ground turf in yesterday’s 2-1 defeat to Millwall.
The influential playmaker has missed two months of the campaign with a fractured lower back but played 45 minutes in the loss against The Lions and after the game he admitted it was an enjoyable experience despite the result.

Lansbury said: “I’m feeling a bit tired but it was nice to be back out on the pitch. I’m not a good watcher of the game because I want to be out there and affecting it. It has been a frustrating time for me and I think all that anger came out in the game.

“I wasn’t fit enough to start but it was great that I could get 45 minutes into my legs. I’m back a bit earlier than I expected to be but that’s really pleasing. The medical team have been fantastic and I’ve managed to get through the game with no niggles.”

Two strikes from Scott Malone and Lee Martin condemned The Reds to defeat yesterday but Lansbury says despite the disappointing first-half performance they are still taking positives into Tuesday’s game with Sheffield Wednesday.

He said: “We chatted at half-time because we knew we hadn’t started the game very well. Second half was much better because we took the game to them. We created a number of chances but it was just a shame we couldn’t take them and get at least a point.

“We’ve got to dust ourselves down and go again on Tuesday night. There are a number of lads coming back from injury and we know that when they do we’ll be a much better side.”

Think SP might have a look at Lansbury, Cohen and Reid as a 3 in the middle in pre-season. Paterson is better wide, Mackie and Abdoun can scrap for RW. Whether it works or not, we'll need a CF either way!

Can anyone think of a similar player to Lansbury that we could sign, maybe slightly more defence minded. If we could find somebody like that to play along side Lansbury with Reid in front and Mackie and Paterson on the wings, our midfield would be unbelievable.

Craig Gardner is one I'd like to see. There might be Prem interest, but I could see him coming here to play for SP in the media spotlight rather than going to West Brom for instance, which looks like a relegation battle waiting to happen. Big wages but avaialble in the summer for nowt!

Adlene Guedioura?

Lansbury was the mentally sharper than anyone on the pitch. His mind was fast, before he had the ball he knew what he was going to do with it. He runs around, gets stuck in and starts off our attacks. That's what we've been missing. Despite being young he's a leader - future captain if he stays. Everyone else was slow on the ball
