Alexander Nübel, the loanee goalkeeper happened.

There is a reason that FC Bayern were happy to loan him out (he isn‘t very good). He fluffed a routine clearance to concede the first, kicking the ball into a LawnBalSport player which then simply bounced into the net, he then flapped at a routine crossed-ball, presenting it to the Olmo, who tapped it in, but it was ruled out for offside.

He then proceeded to throw another one in, then was absolutely nowhere for the others.

After last season‘s debacle between the sticks (where the VfB alternated between Florian Müller and Fabian Bredlow in goal, neither of whom were thoroughly convincing), they still really have not properly replaced Gregor Kobel, who left last summer for Borussia Dortmund.

Longer-term, there is an excellent young goalie - Dennis Siemen - working his way up, he was on the bench last night and last weekend, but he is only 18, so unless there is a real crisis, I cannot see him being put in, but you never know. He really is a top prospect and the club have high hopes for him.
When I seen the score just minutes ago I thought Stuttgart must have had a couple off cause stat wise first half they were in the game.

Never mind The Famous Team will cheer you up, and if that don’t work then there’s always bier and kebaps ( spelt em both wrong just ta brighten ya day 😉)

A new Bundesliga record has just been achieved today, as Bochum lead Borussia Dortmund - perhaps improbably - 1-0, that marks the 129th consecutive game involving Dortmund that has featured at least one goal.

They don’t do nil-nils!

One for the statisticians in the 2. Bundesliga today; the second-halves have just kicked off, and in the three matches, there are more Red Cards than goals!

Eintracht Braunschweig had a man sent-off for a professional foul against Karlsruhe, and 1. FC Nürnberg and SC Wehen Wiesbaden are both down to ten men!

KSC have - so far - the only goal of today‘s matches (they did get a second, but VAR chalked it off).

2 for Kane so far today - Bayern do play some lovely stuff, Augsburg were good until the second goal and now Bayern doing pretty much what they want.

Kane has been really good, considering he is new to the team.

He smashed hone the penalty with some confidence, and took his second goal really well. What I am liking is him dropping in to space, pulling defenders away, to make room for his attacking team-mates - Bayern haven‘t really had a player who can do that, which is why they relied so much on Robert Lewandowski, and they have not needed to rely so much on Thomas Müller to create something out of nothing.

Make no mistake, this is a really, really, good Bayern side. You would fancy a crafty Euro on them to progress in the European Cup this season.

Meanwhile in Europe’s most competitive league Bologna are denied a penalty in somewhat dubious circumstances whilst 1-0 up against Juve.

A shot is saved but only palmed toward the onrushing forward who somehow manages to trip over the Juve player behind him. At least I imagine that’s what VAR saw.

Be interesting to see the fall out of this.

What's with Stuttgart and Greek CBs? Mavropanos' replacement will be St. Galen's Leonidas Stergiou (OK, not entirely Greek, of Greek descent, born and raised in Switzerland, and a Swiss international).
Correction: what's with Stuttgart and Greeks? This summer they signed a 16-year-old striker from Panathinaikos, Matthaios Tsigkas, who already has 4 goals and 1 assist in 5 games in the Bundesliga U17 South/Southwest League.

The Bologna/Juve ref has been suspended for the next round of fixtures after having a mare in that game.

Good, it was a joke of a decision.

Watched the Inter game last night, we have started the season well, Pavard should fit in quite nicely, Sommer made a couple of smart saves. I am still shocked that nobody has come in for Lautaro, can't think of many better centre forwards in world football at the minute.

I assume coming bottom of the group will mean they are out of Europe completely? Hopefully by then they’ll be doing shite in the league too.

England’s Jude Bellingham wins the award for La Liga player of the month, for August.

Well deserved, he’s started on sensational form for Los Merengues.

You’re right. It’s baffling there hasn’t even been a big club sniffing round Lautaro.

Annoying git that he is.

Not sure what's worse, them or the fact Man United have basically conned the entire world that they released him, but they've actually loaned him out to protect their asset until everyone forgets.

I wouldn’t even say it was particularly cleverly worded by Man U but almost everyone did fall for it. Irrespective of what happened (we know the voice recordings but not the aftermath), Getafe have potentially a great player on their hands now and Greenwood himself is one very lucky man.

Yeah I just assumed they released him.

But I am not sure it ever lasts.

Maybe Spanish culture is a bit different, but in general the stench just never goes away and in the end the clubs don't see the worth in it especially when sponsors get involved.

He's definitely the most high profile person to ever be in this situation so will be intriguing how this plays out. I hope all parties involved crash & burn.

Serhou Guirassy and Chris Führich both with a brace, Die Schwaben have been scintillating in the derby, and Frieburg have no answer to the relentless pressing and athleticism of the home-side.

In truth it could have been more, Guirassy almost scored a third.
