Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Imagine how motivated Steve and the coaching staff will be to work with with what appears to be a lot of their target players coming in. Great sense of togetherness at the club at all levels again.
This is his first proper window at Forest so hopefully he’s now also getting his type and choice of players to compliment his kind of team.
More work to do, but feels very positive.
When he arrived in Sept he had to pick the players up off the canvas and get to know what they were about. I think he’ll work wonders with them now.

I’d take a look at Maxwell Cornet from Burnley.

I still think we’re short on the left and this guy has played predominantly LW, but also across the front three. Awoniyi, Johnson and Cornet interchanging is a frightening prospect. Release clause of £17.5m apparently.

Is it just me or are the names of footballer players getting more and more ridiculous?.

As karteo said, there's no comparison. There have been some 8-figure transfers (Zahovic and Giovanni), but they were in a different era, long before the financial crisis, and they were done with mostly borrowed (or worse, we had a real crook as owner at the time) money. In the EM era, the most expensive transfer was probably Podence (ca. 7m, and he was a steal).

What about Carvalho-surely that was 13M+???
