Worrall struggles at rcb, probably due to him being left exposed and his lack of pace. Last night was an opportunity for him to play as one of a two. I can’t understand cook playing ahead of him. From what I’ve seen so far those two would be worrall and niakhate if both are fit.

Worrall has been a disaster since the opening game, he doesnt read the game as well as cook and is probably slower.
No way is he slower. He’s more exposed on the right. If Worrall was playing in the centre of the 3 he’d look better.

I don't think he's been that bad (given the rest of the team has) he was MOTM against Spurs. Worral seems to have done something wrong behind the scenes, so i'd imagine thats not helping the dressing room either alongside 22 new players with many on outrageous wages..
I don’t think any of the players can say they’ve havent been shite. Maybe Henderson?

Worrall isn’t slower and I’m not saying Worrall hasn’t been a disaster I’m not sticking up for any of the players besides Henderson probably. I just think cook has been a bigger disaster.

Always good for a cheeky bet to get a card.

Didn’t disappoint last night. He’s funding my tickets this season.
Yes it’s felt like he’s been booked every game so far? If they still get suspended for accumulating too many yellows, he can’t be far off. As with Worrell, sheer lack of pace is forcing them to bring the man down rather than risk letting them past fairly. Brian would be disappointed.

Cook and McKenna were not good enough together in a four when we were in the championship, nobody remember Cardiff?

I was pretty shocked they got picked for a game in the prem.

Yeah put only against Vardy, a guy known to be slow and lazy...

Honestly those two with a high line...im still having nightmares lol

Worrall has probably told some of the team some home truths and is now doing penance
I have my doubts that Steve would bench him for that, but Joe and Yates should have been amongst the first names on the team-sheet last night given it was a local-derby and the sheer importance of trying to come away with a result from it. We all know that desire and commitment can be as important as footballing ability in those games.

I usually give the pros the credit for knowing more than me about the game, but the game time Cook has been given this season is just amazing. Who would have guessed.

And seeing the times Vardy skipped past the static back line, I'm even more flummoxed.

Playing a high line against Leicester is a cardinal sin in itself, without presenting with two carthorse slow Cbs. Still don't know what we were thinking in that first half set up. A fully flying Leicester side would have stuck 6 past us first half.

And coupling that with only two men in central midfield - one of whom, Kouyate, seemed to spend the match wandering about looking absolutely lost, like a drunk tourist on a stag weekend to Amsterdam.

If you are going to play 4-2-3-1, the „2“ have to be positionally disciplined, or an opponent with an extra man in the middle of the park will waltz through your entire side untouched, like Gene Kelly in his pomp, which is exactly what we saw last night.

It was schoolboy stuff, at times.

Kouyate doesn’t help things for me. Seems one of these players who has 1 decent game in 10 and is disinterested the rest. Presumably Mangala returning and maybe Freunde will give some cover. Same with Hendo in goal; the best performing keepers always have top class defenders in front of them so they can just do the wonder saves and look brilliant.

Steve Cook is atrocious, how is he getting picked by Cooper every game. Closer to league one standard than Premier League, please send him to Huddersfield

5 starts for Cook says it all. I've seen milk turn quicker.

God only knows why we signed Biancone and Bade, both must be absolutely dreadful in training as to not be getting near the side based on the way we defend is embarrassing.

I think I’ve sussed it; he’s got a private betting ring going where they bet on him getting yellows (hence that ridiculous one yesterday). He then uses his winnings to bribe EM into forcing SC to play him every game. The excess loot is hidden about his person slowing him down so his sprinting speed is reduced to that of a brisk walk. 🕵️

Watkins is shit and that is the only reason we didn't get burned last night. Ings did little after he came on, he is more or less done as a player. WE were flattered by Villa's ineptitude. When Niahkate is fit he will be a lock in the middle of the defence, that is a certainty. One can only wonder about Biancone and Bade. For my money, the three CBs left from last year---it's debatable any are good enough for this level.

Now we have binned off 3 centre backs we now have Worrall, Mckenna, Cook, Niakhate, biancone, Boly, Bade, Soh competing for 2 spots!

Why didn’t he Van Basten that ball in to the top corner? Anyway he scuffed the ball across and Taiwo did the biz instead 🤣.

Ridiculous first touch and fizzer for the goal. Had to double take when saw the replay that it was Cook.

Love Cook, he gets unfair stick and even from myself sometimes. Credit to him, he's been excellent recently.
I still think Worral is better defender, but Cook's experience is way ahead of Joe so it's understandable why he plays ahead when we field only 2 CBs.
