We couldnt loan Spence even if we wanted to.
I meant Forest to buy Spence outright, instead of Aurier. Conte clearly didn't want Spence, so why bother signing him?

My thought was based on Aurier being a Spurs player still, so it's mindless shite either way!

So if we bought Ui-Jo Hwang, we could not loan him to Olympiacos straight away?

Is that only for English clubs? Hwang is meant to be going straight off to Oly?

Not if Olympiacos was in the PL, but as they're in a different league it's fine.
A PL club can buy a player and loan him to the Championship, just not to another PL club.

Yeah, the Premier handbook is annoying but earlier in it they define 'clubs' as being premier clubs. So yes Hwang deal to Oly would be allowed but Spence to to Forest would not. Spence to Oly would also be fine.

The fact that Chelsea and shipping out really good young players to bring in aging 'name' players really is an odd one. Broja, Hudson-Odoi, Gallagher, Chalobah, Colwill... some serious talent there.

If Everton were smart they'd use Broja as a bargaining chip for Gordon.

They have asked apparently, but also interested in Gallagher. I reckon both would be loans as they need the money don’t they?

I don’t think Chelsea will sanction an exit for Broja though, until Aubameyang is done.

Rule V.7.1. a Temporary Transfer to a Club may not take place in the Transfer Window in which the Transferor Club acquired the Player’s registration.
Rule V.7.1 haha! Thanks though, and Cortez. So it's the PL to PL in the same window they've signed that's the issue. Shame. Was thinking about Spence the other day, after he didn't make Spurs match day squad. Read an article quoting Conte saying he needs to develop, suggesting maybes a loan and thought we should be all over it like a powerful moss. He needs to play to build on last season. Proper waste him sat in the stands

Conflicted on this one.

Every Spurs fan I know says he's a walking red card/ liability.

On the other hand, as back up, for one year, knowing the lad signed from PSG for 20 odd million.....could Stevie work his magic? Clearly a player in there.

Not the greatest fan of Wiki, but they reckon he's the Ivory Coast captain, walking red card, but captain of his national team, what should i or we believe ?

He's had 2 red cards for spurs after two bookings and 1 straight red and 1 double booking throughout his career. Not great, but seems like it is also something that can be avoided by good game management and coaching. As a back up player this is a great signing for us at this point, and allows us to put more money in other parts of our squad.

You get that with some players: full blooded commitment leads them to act rashly in the heat of the moment.

Very different kind of players with different qualities, but Rooney is the top example.

According to transfermarkt he's only had 4 double yellows and 1 straight red in his career since 2009. 2013 was his first red.

Not the best but not Hilderberto Periera 4 reds in 1 season 😂

Aurier has the power/pace we seem ever keen on but he's an idiot on the pitch. Not just rash but decision making is usually the wrong one. Add to that the hot headedness and a slight reputation as being disruptive.

I don't see it personally. Doesn't fit our normal criteria.
