Season Ticket Protest. ALL fans.

Well, the lame tacky renewal packs have arrived but no new players have arrived.

How predictable.

9 Released and at least two being sold (Commons & Grant Holt) Thats an entire first team!

So the squad which has failed TWICE at third tier level is now weaker than ever. Fantastic.

Leeds United are favourites and a whole host of other clubs and wheeling and dealing in the transfer market.

But what is happening at forest? Sod all - as usuall.

calderwood is on holiday even though he only has 6/7 games to save his ass. (Remember YEOVIL any one?) mark arthur is on some foreign freebie jolly up linked to his lofty position and little old nige is busying arguing with the British Bat Society as his windfarm empire also begins to crumble.

The club has been run into the ground while Derby's rises from the ashes, all the way to 44000!!!

Every thing is being down sized to match the size of doughtys ambitions.

For a club with such a huge fan base the events of the past 5/6 years are simply now unacceptable.

Every decent young player has been sold, hiding behind the story line that the funds are needed to balance the books.

From top to bottom the entire club is a shambles and we have become a National laughing stock.

I know there are a certain section of supporters (Younger mostly) who will go regardless because they genuinely love the club. To you, I take my hat off. I admire your devotion. Long may it continue.

But for older fans like me who have seen the good times, from Wembley trips to 40000 home crowds, the current plight is no longer acceptable.

For me there is only one protest left. With hold my season ticket money. I can no longer stomach handing over £450+ to a club who continue to go backwards.

Its the only way to get a message across to a hard nosed Venture Capitalist like doughty. Hit him in the pocket.

I will still attend games, but only when it suits me.

Its time for the boot to be on the other foot!

Is it me or is this even worse than usual?
Every single line of this one seems to be utter bollocks.
I bet you renew your season ticket before anyone else on the forum.

Come on deal with the FACTS young man.

Look a bit deeper.

One signing may be a start but ONLY a start.

A long long long way to go.

Even you must know that?

Now before you say it, i completley accept that bar Lennon they haven't arrived yet, and that it shouldn't be taken for granted untill they actualy do, but David Pleat was just quoted as saying it is expected to the first of several signings joing over the next week or so.

I don't suppose Lennon's wages were cheap eithier.

Lastly even if you don't renew (and i think at this moment in time, you genuinly think you won't be, but i reckon you might change your mind before the deadline) you will proberbly end up going to enough games to more than cover your season ticket price

I just find it all so predictable.

Season ticket renewal packs arrive and so does Lennon.

"Several more signings" If these signings materialise and are quality additions to the squad then I probably will renew my ticket.

Ambition from the club will be recognised and in turn many fans will do a u turn.

Please don't forget though that "Pressure" exerted in many shapes and forms on the forest Hierarchy has probably pushed them into a corner and made them act positively?

No doubt they read this forum and quake in their boots .Especially when the really big type face is used and in red

CC would have had his plans and expectations in front of the board before the 'pressure' even started. Lennon quite clearly says he was impressed by Calderwood and what he had to say. This would include signings and plans for next season.

Any improvements made in squad were always going to happen as Calderwood moulds his team. He tried it with the base of the old squad and his hands were tied by contracts etc. Now he is going his own way and for a true professional of quality like Lennon to choose us and praise the manager is a bonus.

Doughty is as much a fan as anything else, he will want this club out of this poxy league what ever you have to say about ambition.

So what is signing Lennon is to try and sell season tickets. Whats wrong with that? We need to sell as many as possible and signing quality players to play quality football is part of that.

Is this sort of signing not what you've been asking for?

I think his signing is an exciting one and will sell season tickets. I think at the moment with Forest they can't do anything right for some people.

Firstly Mr Dorset can you explain to me what happened to Mr Doughty's 4/5 year plan which expired about 2/3 years ago?

Secondly, are you a season ticket holder?

If you don't value his opinion unless he's a season ticket holder does that mean we won't have to listen to you next year?

What if he gets injured first game and is out for six months? :nowink:

What if he doesn't, what if he proves to be an influential acquisition, helps build a team that works together, plays with passion and motivation, which goes on to gain promotion.

It's a possibility that he'll get injured, but then again it could happen to anybody - I fail to see your point.

What if he isn't and leads us to promotion as early as March, giant killings in the league cup, including a win against Arsenal (reserves!) and a live TV 4th round FA cup demolition of the sheep before we go out to Chelski (again)?

Firstly Mr Kilburn if being a season ticket holder is the only indication of a true fan then Man Utd should relocate to London.

I have pm'd you to explain why I am not able to hold a season ticket but I have followed Forest since 1974 both home and abroad. Does that count?

As a season ticket holder I can understand that you have a view that a non season ticket holder does not. After all, you have invested your cash so moan away but with a point please! As a fan, I am able to express my view and I take a balanced once I hope.

I am no fan of Doughty as such, I feel he has taken too hands off a role letting idiots like MA run things and overseeing poor management choices in Kinnear,Platt and Megson. I even have my doubts about CC but am willing to give him a chance.I do now believe though that the shoddy aspect of the internal side of the club is now sorted and CC is working hard on the players.

My point is that Doughty is a very high level business man, far higher that you or I. Assumption here but if you were that high you would buy the club no? He will be planning on two levels 1) as a financial man and 2) as a fan. He wants this club back where it should be and you can waffle on about plans etc but I am talking about now not admittedly poor PR in the past.

The right (maybe) manager is in place, the hangers on and dross have been got rid of and we have recruited a very high quality player with a massive influence both on and off the pitch. Injured or not he has a big role to play in converting the gutless team we have seen into proper footballing players who want to win.

It really irritates me how the negativity seems to be becoming the 'trendy' thing to do. Credit to you, you have been a jonah for a long time and are at least consistent. Others however twist in the wind and are well known for slagging players when signed and then forgetting that and then boasting how they 'knew he would be good' when they shine.

I confess that this trendy negativity is what irks me most. I believe that CC is only now getting the team he wants and that is what I will judge him on.

I see NO replacement for Doughty in sight so find me one! He would not have to try to sell, plenty of clubs are being taken over when not advertised but nobody wants us. f**k me even Coventry can be bought!!!!!

Renew or not, it is up to you. I would hope you will and suspect you will. If you do not, it will make little difference to the club and you will lose your soap box which can sometimes be amusing.

Let us agree to talk again in December. Then we will see how ambitious the club is and whether they are 'serious about promotion'.

Got to keep the pressure on. Some fans are acting like one signing has guaranteed promotion!!

If only it was that simple.

"One swallow does not make a Summer".

"One Lennon does not make promotion a cert".
