Mrs Aspinall, whose 18-year-old son was attending his first away match when he was caught in the crush, said she was "annoyed" by talk of bringing back terraces.

"We will never ever want standing ever again," she added.

They fail to realise that after 22 years they should have moved on and be remembering this genuine tragedy in a dignified and discrete way, rather than this annual attention seeking grand scale political posturing. The fact that they perpetuate these type of events every year only goes to reinforce the belief that they are still in denial.

I love Gunnersaurus but his presence seemed odd there.

I said to the wife "who's that fat lad at the end next to Walcott?"

God forbid if the shoe was on the other foot and the Forest fans were in the Leppings lane end that day and it was us mourning the loss. I'm sure some would see this in a different light.
There are things in life that our opinion simply doesn't matter and this is one such example.

Any other club mark events like these from their history with respect, but I think Liverpool and their fans make a 'poor me' show out of the deaths of those supporters. You can guarantee that 90% of those chanting/tweeting for justice aren't from Liverpool, have no connection to the families and have only a vague understanding of what happened on that day after receiving 3rd hand mythology from their glory boy parents. The amount of times I've see comments online about calling The Sun newspaper scum is f***ing rediculous - half of these f***ers weren't even born when it happened and have no clue why they are calling it scum.

Not very PC, but if this tragedy had happened to any other 'smaller' club we wouldn't be talking about it on the same scale 20+ years later.

i think there may be a small amount of creedence to what you say. But if Forest hadnt been the opponents that day i wonder if you and others on here would be slightly less vitriolic.

Forest would have gone into Europe on many occasions if it had not been already for those bloody scousers. That day just showed, yet again, to many fans, that they should have been kicked out of football all together.

Well i think it goes without saying that no one feels anything but sadness for anyone losing their life on that day. Like they from liverpool should do, try and lay them to rest and carry on, like many others have in similar situations. It's more the ones that you see running across Heysel stadium and storming the gates at Athens that i think of, in my above comments.
