Thank you.

I think i had read it before mate but have just read it again. it must have been terrible to be there. i remember watching it live on the t.v. The awfulness of the situation surely has to overide any wrong doing by any parties on the day. that is why i still think the Sun headlines were opportunistic and disgraceful.

It's a touchy subject Ashrams, I'd stick to non-serious threads if I were you.

Thanks, just read that again. Sad, sad day. And if people have read my previous posts on this subject will know I'm not a fan of the blameless, but that doesn't mean I am cold hearted, anyways that was written so well imo.

Every year when this comes around, I vow to keep my peace. Suffice to say, thanks Sedge, for saying it for me.

Lol. Tbh mate I've took abit of a hammering on the subject, but feel alot of people feel the same, just prefer not to say it themselves as its pehaps not PC but sometimes the truth hurts.

If Liverpool fans didn't want their innocence to be rebuffed then they needn't bring up Hillsborough/Justice every single year.

Sad, sad day that was rightly remember in memorials gone but no need for more. Let the dead rest in peace rather than be used as a political tool.

I feel for the families who are caught up in this - I imagine most want to try and live the rest of their lives without having the emotion of the events thrown in their face constantly by people who don't really give a toss about the families, just the image of the club...

Oh, yeah, Heysel... that too...

My daughter is doing GCSE Drama, her teacher (who is someone I know) attended the Liverpool performing arts academy. For her main GCSE work, the class had to do a piece on Hillsborough. I saw the teacher out one night, and she was telling me that they were doing this piece of work, and I said "I was there, perhaps you would like my input" her reply? "I'd better not ask your views on it."

Just before my daughter had to write her piece, she said the teacher was really getting into the full blame culture of the tragedy bit, and made them watch Jimmy McGovern's 'Hillsborough'.

I came home one night, and my daughter was at the computer, she said "I've been looking everywhere for this information about the Sun and Liverpool fans, and I can't find what I'm looking for, and neither can my friends" so I said what are you looking for and she said "well C has told us to start the play with the court case when the Liverpool fans took The Sun to court". No wonder she couldn't find it.

I had to let my daughter do what she had to do, but fortunately the class realised that the teacher had been effectively brainwashed by living in Scouseland.

And the finale? When she had finished and performed the play, I asked my daughter to ask her teacher's views on Heysel, guess what, she didn't know what it was!

We had to do something similar back when I was at school. The only evidence we had to go on was the documentary and a few newspaper cuttings from 10 years after the event. Now I havent a clue if the teacher was a Liverscum fan or not, but I do remember a few people receiving poorer marks for laying any sort of blame at the feet of the fans/ using other sources of evidence such as articles from the time of the disaster/ using evidence from family members who were there on that day/ making any sort of "unnecessary and irrelevant" reference to Heysel and the actions of Liverpool fans during that incident.

Go to the discussion page to see how the scousers handle criticism. :(

Followed the link to LFC ON LINE from wikipedia page. Sickening justfication of the deaths of 39 peopleand not one once of blame accepted for the deaths. Makes me so angry, it was all the fault of a year before, Belgians selling tickets, inadequate fencing and the Italians started it.

Utter and absolutly disgusting.

So the scousers want him knighted because he attended & organised players attending the funerals after Hillsborough. How many funerals did King Kenneth attend after Heysel?

As for the qoute from Aspinall about not wanting Terraces back - the Kopshites stand at most home games, typical scouse hypocrite

was a pretty good player to boot to be fair.
