Brennan finishes well but actually I don't think he's the best finisher in his family let alone the club.

His dad definitely would have scored more in the PL if he was in the Ipswich team when they went up but I think they had other strikers like Marcus Stewart and Kuqi at some point and he was backup, But if he was on the end of a ball in the box with a shooting chance it would usually end up in and you can't say Brennan is that instinctive. There was a fair amount of him running behind the defence and slotting in for Bury, Ipswich and us but this was usually done more centrally and further forward than Brennan does for us.

Plus I get the impression his finishing is more learned and less instinct which for me puts him behind an instinctive finisher (such as Surridge or Taiwo) every time

Ayew was free transfer, PL experienced and played in tournaments at a point when we were short on options and he was available. Cooper had worked with him before and knew what he was getting, it was also a figure around the dressing room who could be drawn on for knowledge who had been in the position before. I wouldn't draw too much into the signing or the option but he was clearly also preferred to Sam but then Cooper had worked with them every day.

If we're drawing your Nashville love, we need to work on mine by selling a few to RB Leipzig
I respectively disagree over Brennan statto. I think his finishing is pure instinct.

Brennan's finishing is pushing his pace for his best attribute. He's a remarkable finisher with lots of different techniques:

1) Leicester at home, ball under his feet a bit but digs it out top corner: 10/10 finish.
2) Everton at home, on his wrong foot under pressure, top corner: 10/10 finish.
3) Derby at home, sliding in at pace, bottom corner. 9/10.
4) Barnsley at home, cute side foot from edge of box into bottom corner. 9/10.
5) Blackpool away, half volley with power bottom corner: 10/10.
6) Sheff Utd away, loose ball, pressure finish, cushioned into top corner. 9/10.

Guy is a machine at picking his spot.

Leeds goal needs to be in there. The technique used to hit that spinning ball on the volley into the bottom corner was absolutely top drawer.

Yeah I'm sure there's others I've forgotten. He's got quite the "reel" of top quality goals from two seasons here.

He's got a really efficient method of clipping the ball with controlled power and accuracy and little backlift. See the goal at home to Wolves and the cross for Awoniyi's first goal at home to Southampton off the top of my head.

His pace with the ball is special as well. He seems as fast with it than without it!!

On the bench tonight, which I think is his first official time showing up. Against America, the Mexican team, in the Leagues cup.

I like the idea of that cup, did england have anything similar with Scotland?

Scored in the 99th minute to pull the game back tied. Perfect cross from their best player, forgot his name but it’s something like Muhktar, and he headed it sweetly into the net.

This is a fun little cup.

And that was the last moment of the match, time for pens.

He’s going to score hatfuls in the MLS, I reckon more players will move to the states while Messi is knocking about in Miami.

I’d rather live in the States and be looked at as a hero than play for someone like QPR getting battered every week in the Championship, probably better money too.
