Wasn't he on loan at Swansea when Cooper managed them? One of those signings which isn't particularly exciting on the face of it, but neither was Keinan Davis and he's been excellent since joining us.

Hope I'm wrong but he's looked decidedly average whenever I've seen him and his scoring record isn't great.

WhoScored.com states weakness as finishing and that he has no strengths. Hopefully just due to limited data for whatever algorithm they use but odd that he's barely played for Stoke considering their issues up front.

A new name for me. A quick look shows he has come through at Bournemouth and, although through numerous loans his goalscoring record isn't anything of note, Stoke saw fit to throw in £5.5 mil for him.

The fact this is obviously one Cooper has head hunted gives me hope though.

He's not played a lot recently but his numbers look quite decent when you consider minutes played.

Paid £2m a piece for both Murphy and Da Costa. £2m for Surridge doesn't seem bad at all when you put it like that.

Where have these stats come from? I can’t see anything suggesting he has scored anywhere near that amount
