PINEAPPLE BOOKS.....

I've tried ringing him no answer, I've worked for him before doing his office at his home and he does come across as a decent bloke. But like others have said the communication is concerning.

How does chargeback work?

As you say Winnits, I have a good few of Rob's books but this is taking the biscuit. Money I'd rather have in my pocket now.

You should be able to dispute it on paypal depending how you sent the money.

If you sent it as a gift you have next to no chance of getting the money back.

Go to the transaction and click details and it will tell you if you can dispute it in the resolution centre I think they give you a certain amount of days (180 I think) but if you can't dispute call them.

I do a lot of business via paypal and have never had any problems over the phone with their customer service don't email them though you'll be waiting even longer to get your money back.

This is what I was wondering. I get the impression that at least a few posters here know the guy personally - can't a friend of his pick up the phone or wander round to his house and knock on the door to at least find out if he's still breathing, and then report back to us mugs and let us know what he's blown our cash on?

Where's me hammer?
Cant see him selling many more books if this is how he deals with it.

"I have spoken to Rob in person and the reason for the delay is that it's a Mammoth task doing a project on this scale all on his own. He has also been trying to get more orders to help with printing costs etc because of the tight margins when you're only publishing a few hundred books rather than thousands.

After the delays, the books will be printed this September so he can advertise some more at the start of the season and then get them signed and sent straight out. I hope you understand and appreciate the huge project. He is working through emailing everyone directly and should be done with that by the end of this week as well as sending out the final posters.

On behalf of Rob he appreciates your patience and many thanks for the support."

Re: NFFC 150

I really don't think it would be that hard to send an email to all his contacts though - I've been pretty patient and defended him, and I will wait out the project to conclusion, but I can totally understand why people are at the end of their tether.

10 minutes to write an email and hit send. 2 minutes to reply to emails and/or update address details.

I know it's a labour of love, and am sure it will be worth the wait, but people have parted with their cash in good faith and he's responsible for keeping them up to date with delays.

Re: NFFC 150

I emailed him today with no reply. It is so shoddy and has left such a bitter taste. He's changed print dates about half a dozen times now.

Re: NFFC 150

I've had a number of a Forest books from him before, some he's even delivered by hand.

But nothing like this delay.

It doesn't take much to send an email update really, does it?

No matter how good the product is - and I'm sure it will be good when it gets here - this sort of thing will cost him customers in the long term.

Re: NFFC 150

Forget about it then it's a wonderful surprise when it comes though the door. A bit like season ticket books.
