While I appreciate the sentiment about an unchanged line up I think these might have too much pace and movement for Boly, and there's high line they play...

The CHO lineup has been my suggestion in a three since Taiwo got injured. I actually think Wood will fit the wingback system well, but against that line of Spurs it's legs for me.

As for Dani I like him in that spot, though prefer when he has someone who can hold up and play off ahead of him - he closes the distance really well, and it's probably the better of the two suggestions defensively.

Tough test Friday though - they're an incredible side this year on their day.
I like both of those. I mentioned yesterday bringing CHO into the attack but hadn't considered Danilo, bit more energy, perhaps that's better than craft, at least to start the game.

Also don't mind the idea of an unchanged side.

Someone set up a sump pump out the trent on to our pitch and call the game off for a waterlogged pitch spurs looked brilliant could do without playing these next 🤣🤣

First game in ages I can’t make it so there will be a ticket going in exchange, bet we thump the f***ers and give the best display in decades

Just to point out that the lads could fight like demons with skill and determination and we could still find ourselves 4-0 down at half-time: Spurs are really good.

So we need to keep backing the team loudly even if things don't go our way. A defeat to Spurs, if that's what happens, isn't defining our season.

Do tickets that get put on the ticket exchange go live at a specified time or date? Not sure if it is 24 hours before or something.

I'm up in Nottingham this weekend so it'll certainly make the Christmas beer taste better if we can win. Struggling to see it with the way Spurs played today though.

The only hope is if we can take advantage of that high line like we did against Villa. You watch us start with Wood now 😆

The fullbacks that drop into central midfield roles for Spurs that Micha Richards has highlighted on MOTD2 is absolutely superb to watch. A touch of genius from Ang.

However, it does highlight where forest can expose them.

I only caught glimpses of spurs match but did see numerous first time lay offs in the centre of pitch to players then running forward and beyond, which were absolutely killing Newcastle. It was so slick and done at great pace, looked well rehearsed. I think we need to crowd out the centre of the pitch-stop the flicks, dummy’s, ball round the corner etc as otherwise it will so tough. Think we will also need extra combative players on bench as well, as taking some booking will be important to stop spurs momentum.

This is a game for which my peasant membership has afforded me a ticket.

It’s going to be tough, no doubt but it feels like a game that matters so much to Coops and to our future and I have a good feeling about it. The stadium is going to be white hot I reckon and I can’t wait! Time for the return of the spine tingling atmosphere and I can‘t help but think it will be anything else.

The last words of Coops interview with Colin Fray yesterday about the City Ground on a Friday night and then rounding it out with “I’ll be there” got me a little bit emotional to be honest. We’ll be there too Coops, time for 26,000 to be who we know we are. Up the Reds!

I put one up for exchange on the day of the Everton game and got an email about an hour later saying it had been taken - so it's pretty quick...

I spent this weekend just gone in Nottingham - Mrs Congo doing Christmas shopping and I dropped in on my Dad as well.
Some fantastic Christmas Beers were consumed in the Kean's Head, Neon Raptor taproom, and Partizan Tavern, all of which I highly recommend.

It feels like a long time since I've been out in town as I've not heard of any of those 3. :ROFLMAO:

My thoughts...

On the Game; Quite nervous about this one, they were very impressive against Newcastle. However, before this game they'd lost to both Wolves and West Ham and hadn't won in 5. I'm kind of glad they got there bounce back performance out the way against Newcastle. It will be a tough game and I will be more than happy with a point.

On the Cooper front; Undoubtedly he has made some mistakes this season but I place more criticism on our transfer policy than the manager. I believe its something like 42 players in within 15 months of promotion; that leaves any manager with a tough task. My expectations for this season were that we'd still be in a relegation battle but probably finish around 14th; let's not pin all our hopes on Friday, it will be a bumpy ride over the next few weeks.

On the City Ground; All I have to say is for the love of God, please get Mull of Kintyre right

It would be nice to pick an unchanged team for once, 7 changes were made for the Wolves (I do understand why) and 5 for the Fulham game.

The back 5 + Keeper need consistency which we haven’t had all season, ffs the captaincy needs consistency too, I reckon I’ll be captaining us soon with how often it changes.

Play the same 11 and show some fight again and that’s all I ask.
